Steam is great, best games platform around. Maybe mac steam (McSteam?) is not as good. Whatever. It's great on PC.

Anyway every year I ponder not buying FM and then I end up buying it anyway. This year's new features sound pretty good So I guess I'll give in this year and take advantage of a good launch price.

People should read the FM13 improvements before trashing the Steam relationship.

Steam are hosting the network game mode which has previously been pathetic on previous games. So the first thing people should look at for any stockists of this game is whether it activates through Steam.

I cant wait for some good network games.

Take it back to the shop and buy a PC.

I'm the same. I've took Liverpool back where they belong and also dual managed France to World Cup and Euro glory while winning everything in sight at club level. My team is unbelievable and I have more money available than I could spend.

Half of me thinks "Ohhhhh I've gotta do all that again"

they send you a code for steam when game is released , im assuming you can get steam for mac but best to check if unsure.

Don't bother you need to install steam to play the game, steam is utter crap especially on mac

Excellent price, code works but cant get the website to complete the transaction. Website says to contact bank but bank saying issue with website. Anyone else having this issue?

Ive had a responce back from their support team. Its because I was using a hidden proxy server (ordering in work). Tried it on my mobile and it went through via topcashback

You can get football manager on the android or the apple markets but it isn't the full pc version. Not sure if you'd get the same amount of enjoyment out of it

I ordered it from work that uses a proxy server. Mine got through and then it was on the last page completing your order. It was stuck on that page but the payment and the order went through fine.

Contrary to what someone else said in this thread, Steam for Mac works absolutely fine. Was going to get Hitman Absolution but saying as I'm off to Uni and only taking my Macbook I think this would be a better investment as I could actually play it away :P cheers OP

I thought this was a Steam redeemable download. No optical drive required? I might be wrong though.

Pretty sure all full versions of the game (ie all but the tablet/phone versions) have to activate through steam.

Ordered with them already at a more expensive price. Can I cancel and repurchase at the cheaper price? Thanks in advance don't know much about greenmangaming!

The game hasn't got a release date yet. Sports Interactive have said before xmas.
So when its released they will send you the key

Just for reference, release dates for previous games in the series:

Football Manager 2012 - October 21st
Football Manager 2011 - November 5th
Football Manager 2010 - October 30th

Expect it around the same time this year.
