Football Manager 2020 Touch digital download on Nintendo eShop UK at £22.49, matching the previous low. I almost bought this last night but glad I held off, will bite now as can't see it going much lower than this anytime soon! Unfortunately doesn't seem to be any deals on eShop top-ups going around just now to make it an even better deal!

New Star Manager on US eshop for $1.39 as an alternative ...
Good game, only really playable in handheld mode but a good alternative it you don't want to put as much time into it as the PC version

Yeah, I've bought previous versions and it's a pain to play docked!
Absolutely still addicted to FM18. In like season 2035 and it's glorious. Can't see future upgrades (other than rosters) being much better than my game currently..
I’ve got 18 too. Not played it for a while now, but always struggled with the formation and tactics screen before the match. Seemed really fiddly. Wonder if I was just doing it wrong!
Been considering getting this for a while. Was an original championship manager fan on the Amiga back in the day, then went through the FM series but stopped playing on the PC about 10 years ago. Now I’ve got a switch (for the kids) so am sorely tempted.
is it the same version of touch thats available on android?

Yes but I think there is 3 versions of fm
Fm mobile (for phones and the lightest of feature sets)
Fm touch (mid point of features / depth of game)
Fm full

Touch will. Be the same over all platforms (switch, iOS,Android and PC)

I’ve played a lot of fm touch admittedly on my iPad. It’s brilliant. Has a good balance of features to speed of playing the game.

Things i think are important to call out for fm touch

Smaller database ability. Not a deal breaker but to be aware.
No team talks when wanted / before and during games. 90% I’m glad they are not there. You say the same thing every time and it’s tedious. But on a big cup game or something I think I would miss it.
Much less media involvement. Bar transfer deadline day you don’t interact with the media. Again, 90% of the time it makes no difference.
Much less squad depth. You get one reserve team and that’s it. As a person who loves signing and developing young talent this is a bit of a disappointment.

Other than that I highly recommend. If you’ve got kids fm touch will be the right version for you to rattle through and fall in love with the game again.
£17.35 from South African store too!
How do you find this on the switch ? I had a version on a 7 inch Android tablet and I couldn't get into it as it was just a bit too cluttered. Live the mobile version for Android I think that would be more suited to the switch lite for sure

I've still not got round to sinking my teeth into it properly but it plays pretty well on the Switch! I feel there is a slight learning curve with regards to the controls but once you get used to it you can navigate menus fairly easily!
