Brilliant spot - thank you
Great prices, but it doesn't say how many seeds you get.
Nice one.
Ordered
Just but the fruits, save the seeds, dry them and use them next year! Heated anyways

I do assume from this that they'll have at least 2 more years on them.... hopefully!

"All our Cottage Garden Seed varieties are packed in special moisture-controlled seed foils to ensure they remain harvest-fresh for up to three years, if kept unopened.

Yeah, is it 5p because it's like, 4 seeds?!
Thank You.
Good find - worth a punt even if not all the seeds grow.
15 packets ordered for under £3.00 delivered.

Starting an allotment in the next few weeks. How many packets of seeds would I need?

Seeds of different plants remain viable for different periods of time.
I suppose I'm asking what is the expected yield from each packet. Say I get tSweet Pepper California Wonder Yellow or Carrot Autumn King 2

Thanks
It depends on the number of seeds per packet, can't find any info but worth a punt
Carrots tend to be pretty good, I put down 50 seeds this year and pulled around 45 carrots. Peppers grew but didn't flower or at least not yet.
On average how many would you usually get in a packet? I'm a complete novice as you can probably tell! Is it one seed per carrot?

. Still waiting for the EU to introduce standardisation of seed packets.
Parks tend to work on low prices and low content.
Have ordered 12 packs with £1.50 p&p.. For £2.09 it's worth a go..

Thanks for the brilliant link, I've got seeds from up to 10 years ago, can now go through them chucking out those that obviously aren't worth keeping.

I'd take that list with a pinch of salt, When I was clearing my dad's house I found seeds that were up to 15 years old, stored in a biscuit tin in the garage. The seeds still looked ok. I used them in my allotment, and most of them germinated. A lot depends on storage conditions.
Ooh thanx op just started growing a few veg this year so will av a look wanted to make a herb planter so hopefully do that
Thanks spent £16 loads of packets for allotment and garden

Well I just got an allotment this year and I can honestly tell you that you don't need seeds just yet. spend some time cleaning the allotment , weeds ets, then clean some more, then clean some more. then when you plant the seeds. the weeds will kill everything off anyway.
It doesn't cost £1.50 to deliver a packet of seeds (probably with 1-4 in there)
amazing. Just stocked up myself. A bit steep on the postage but worth it if you buy a lot. ... which I just did!
Ordered thanks
The allotment is currently being used and I won't take it over for a few weeks although he has given me a patch to get going.

Carrots and parsnips are what I want to plant
Thanks, ordered plenty to keep me going for a few years. I wouldn't worry about planting out of date seeds, especially if only a year or two out of date. We had a talk from the Suttons seeds big wig last year, and he said he would only ever consider planting F1 seeds these days due to their far superior qualities (which usually come at an elevated price). But there are plenty of F1s very cheap in this offer. Thanks op.
Wow! I have just ordered £20 worth of seeds

There is still time to plant carrots but you have missed the boat for parsnips. You can also plant swede, cabbage, beetroot, lettuce, rocket, kale...
