Having viewed the carnage which appears to have taken place at B&Qs all over the land this morning according to this site, I am glad I didn't try to get one of the £10 loungers.
I had however, bought a lounger for £29-99 a few weeks ago from Sainsburys instore which is very similar to the B&Q one.
When I saw a comment from some bloke in a white van saying he would be getting £50 for two at a car boot sale, I remembered seeing this yesterday instore in Sainsburys - also available online.
£29-99 each or two for £45 ie equivalent to £22-50 each which seems a canny price and cheaper than the carbooter.
May help someone. No, it's not a tenner, but a decent price nonetheless.

My mother in law will be excited about this! Thanks for sharing.

Cheers OP! 2 ordered. Don't fancy anymore wasted trips to B&Q!;)

Leaf design also available: http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/home_and_garden/garden_and_pet/125711789_sainsburys-leaf-padded-relaxer.html?hnav=4294960429

I too missed out on the B&Q recliners - despite not getting what I set out to get, I left £42 lighter! Should have stayed at home and ordered these! Nice one B&Q, your plan worked!

Many thanks.

I wouldn't dream of buying a recliner unless I had to get up at 5.00am ...drive 25 miles, queue around the block for 2hrs ...& end with a fist fight at the pallet.

The aforementioned B&Q garden recliner scrum, reminds me of the time I went to B&Q & this old fella dressed in orange came up to me & asked "Do you want decking?".....fortunately, I got the first one in & that was the end of that - but the moral of the story is be careful in B&Q....clearly there are some cranks go there...therefore, IMHO you are better going to Sainsburys for sitting implements for your garden.

You could always 'stop following' all your friends on Facebook....they'll be offended & not come around to visit you at your house.....then just have a monster barney with your missus (& then huff all summer).... only one recliner needed, simples!

i picked up 4 from one b&q store then went onto another and got 4 more, with no aggro, so i think its people being jealous because they missed out on a good bargain, this is very cold, why would you pay £45 pound for 2 when i got 2 for £20, simple as that!

I guess the clue is in the OP's post ie if you missed out on the b&q this is a possible alternative

Hmm Sainsburys musta had a few folk up early at B+Q on sat morning (_;)

Horrible msg from chrismac26!! Firstly, greedy people like that do my head in and then when someone tries and help folk by finding an alternate option, has the nerve to try and be all clever!! Wish we could rate the silly msgs on here too.... Well done OP by the way, much appreciated pal.

I don't care if you got 20 bargain chairs I still wouldn't be jealous.
Better things to do with my time than drive around b&q stores thinking how great I am bagging 10 quid chairs. Get a life or a hobby.

I was told that B&Q Belvedere store sold out by 7.10! Bloody stupid

Same ones are £20 each In Morrisons. I picked up 2 on Friday evening. Hope this helps someone!

COLD COLD COLD. This is the same s-hit as you can get in Argos for £29 and which lasts no longer than 6 months, unless you weigh as a kid, for it has got very weak support coils which buckle under you. These support coils don't last a month! I have this crap chair at home!!! The ones from B&Q are proper quality, they are much more rigid, the support is sufficient even for a large man, and are far far superior to this crap chair. I bought two B&Q chairs yesterday without any hassle or nerve... We maintained a queue. If you buy these inferior ones (Sainsbury's, Argos etc.) and if the coils indeed buckle, then you'd better keep the receipt, attach the receipt somehow to the back of your chair (so you could find it when you need it), use the chair for 6 months (or less until the chair collapses), and then claim replacement or money back when the summer is over :)....

Note: XBNorkUK correctly pointed me out to that what I had said caused some confusion, so I edited it to point out clearly to the FACT that the inferior chairs from Argos etc. are far less likely to get damaged within their warranty period. Sorry for my confusing use of the language :)....

It is everyone's choice what you do with your money... Of course, you can also throw a broken chair away after it dies on you (if you don't care about what you are paying for). But generally people on this forum are trying to save money and not wasting their money. But I suppose you are just one of those who did not get their B&Q chair, so you will be ranting about your argument on and on

ha ha. who is ranting, you seem a little defensive. as for me, im a consumer who likes a bargain. as all users of this site are.
however, i am not a blagger who would return a product simply because the summer ended and i had finished using it. especially not one i got for a knockdown price of £10. if i didnt have room to store it i would give it away, and i would think... brill, 6 mths use for £10, thats £1.50 per month, just around 5p per day for 6 mths use. 5p per day i have paid for having that lounger. and i would be happy.
but no, if it makes you feel better to take them back after 6 mths because you dont feel you got value for money for your 5p per day and argue with someone to get your £10 back you do that. i hope the store manager laughs and tells you to jog on.

I think he was saying if you buy the chairs from Sainsburys they are of a poor quality and likely to break after 6 months so keep the receipt to hand.

^^ perhaps Tom. and if so I have misunderstood, and if i paid £50 for a chair i would be more concerned about the quality.
to be fair as well, the photos the guy posted of the chairs were useful to compare and it was an informative so good post from him im not trying to jump on the guy. (not that my opinion really matters to him anyway im sure.). ;-)

i saw in homebase they were doing them £29 but then saw sainsburys were doing 2 for £45 so was gona get them, but saw advert for ba nd q but they sold of within 15 mins of opening, so was gona order from sainsburys but found tesco doing same deal 2 for £45 and points to

I kinda like sitting on a fluffy towel crossed leg on the grass watching the ants do their thing

Well, you must have misread what I was talking about actually or I failed to say what I wanted to say... Only if the cheap chair buckles under you (which the Argos/Sainsbury's/Morrison's variants do - see the picture for the coils), then you have got the legal right to claim repair or replacement (Sales of Goods Act 1979). By law, you actually can't return a product to the seller after 6 months of use unless there was something wrong with it... So, I'm glad we understand ourselves now properly
