Gateway2lease have just released this cracking stock offer on the top of the range Ford Focus ST-3.

A two year lease costs a total of £6,152.84. Personal Contract Purchase offers will not get near this price as it is far less than the depreciation the car will suffer over the two years.

10k miles per annum is permitted, which is much better than the 5k which usually applies to the mega cheap lease deals.

The deal is slightly cheaper for business customers, so if you are self-employed you can get £166.63 + VAT per month and a slightly lower deposit of £999.78 + VAT.

The personal contract hire details are as follows:

Deposit: £1,235.76
Admin Fee: £180
23 payments of £205.96

You took the plunge and ordered the Golf R then!

In a word, no. The Golf R is a far, far better car. But this is still a great drive and it's at least £1k cheaper than the current R deal. Also, there isn't a 5 month wait!!!

Works out at £256 per month (all inclusive) and then you have to save a deposit to do it again.

Add in servicing, tax disc and insurance, or does the deal include this?

Seems a good deal for a Focus, let alone this one!

Just ordered the VW7R today.
Oddly it's far cheaper to insure than the ST despite being a more expensive car?!

You have to tax, insure and service any car (_;) . Tax is included in this price as it's a lease. You would have to pay for one service and you have to insure it.

The Golf 7R has the forward facing radar which makes it virtually impossible to crash at slow speed. That's why it's so cheap. I have a 7 R on order too (that makes at least 4 of us in this thread!!!) and my quote was sub £200.

Apologies double post! I went for 15k miles and some options so ended up just north of £300 but very happy with the price considering the spec.

Oh, I meant my insurance was sub £200 per year. Are you talking about insurance or the PCH deal?

Was that from NVS if you don't mind me asking?

Ah - insurance for me was £255 (or that's the current quote, will see in Jan when it arrives)

Yes NVS - just checked the docs £323 p/m. Was going to choose the 10k deal and pay the excess m/charge but decided to play it safe! Had the bonus of realising tax is included for both years (assumed it would be just Yr1).

is the golf 7r from this company too?

Forward Facing Radar. I'd love to test that out, seems like a fun!

No. The cheapest Golf R lease is currently this one: hotukdeals.com/dea…241

Fair enough, some lease deals include servicing and insurance. Not this one though.

Which VW7R deal did the members in this thread go for?

I got a business lease 5k miles 1.3k deposit and 230 a month for a white 5 door manual including maintenance

Thanks for the VW7R link. I was after an older 330i but could be tempted to run the VW7R for a few years instead. Shame about the 5 month wait as mentioned above.

Stick with the golf R. Tis on another level to a Focus ST. Now the new focus RS when it comes out may be a different matter....

Good deal, I'm sticking to 7R tough... ;-)

Quick question. If I sign up to a 2 or 3 year deal, and leave the country after one year, what do I have to pay?

You'd have to come to an agreement with the lease company. They could charge you the entire balance of the lease, so it's not advisable.

Would be interesting to find out, how much they would charge for the 6KPA mileage option.

New facelift is out next year which is why these are probably going cheap now

Ta OP.

shame its not the estate much cooler imo

Can get the leon fr for about the same as this

5k miles a year on the golf R. What a rip off. Need at least 10k miles.

it was cheaper to buy the 5k option and pay the excess for 5k than it was to get the 10k upfront. If i remember rightly excess mileage is charged at 10p a mile

Another reason to lease rather than buy.

Can get the Fiesta ST for £175.19 too which is a great deal.

Total is £5515 for the Fiesta ST.

Excellent deal. I've always liked the look of these and power to match. I'm just not in a position for a new car. I'll stick with my "boxster" for now. It would seem that leasing makes economic sense with excellent deals like these.

The Fiesta retails about £6000 less and doesn't suffer as badly from depreciation. The difference in overall lease should be a lot more than £600.

Anyone else spot the subtle hint that aljack has a "Boxster"? I almost missed it.
