Ford used to be the best selling of all cars so there must be a few owners out there who will appreciate this post...

I am about to sell my son's low mileage 12 registered late model Ford Focus and was looking to offer it with a main dealer full service and MOT.

If I can share my experiences with you, I hope that this will help:

If you use the Ford Service appointment website I would recommend that you widen your search to other garages even if they are miles away - your local dealer should do a price match (there was a difference of £70 between top and bottom prices) and in some cases the MOT prices were £25 more than a "standard" MOT at places like National, etc so you could have those done there first before having this service done.

Using the link in the URL above to Motorcraft 4+ (still done at a Ford Dealer but you car MUST be over 4 years old) I have been able to get a full (major) Service including an MOT AND a full 12 Ford Roadside assistance (similar to new cars I understand) for £215 (or you can get a minor service and MOT for £145 or just a service for £115 using the voucher code MCDIG10 (but this might not work for long as it is about to expire).

Cheers! Sierra111

I heard they were related to Hobby Craft, but not sure how true that was

Cheers for the link EveshamLad - I hadn't seen that!

This is a good deal but in fairness it has been around for years. I have used it for past 3 years. Ford parts at a Ford dealership with 12 months AA cover with home start. The extra 70 quid service includes fuel filter and with the cost of the filter and time taken its worth getting it done every 2 - 3 years (I only do 6k a year). The TDCI fuel filter are not self priming which catch people out when the engine wont start after replacing.

Thank you Graham1979. I have a Skoda myself (I love my VRS!) - this is the first time that I have involved myself with a Ford (other than owning a Cortina Mk4 in the "old days") - current models are not my own cup of tea but even if one person gets a deal out of it, it is worth the post!? sierra111

Code is still valid btw. I have just used it and got £10 off.
