There was a deal posted here recently for a log cabin, thought I would add this one into the mix as it is from a well known reputable retailer and includes installation.

This cabin is ideal as a garden retreat, home office or extra bedroom.

if it's less than 15 square metres, and not used as a bedroom, then no..

Not sure about the unit itself, but wouldn't the last two uses need some sort of planning consent?

Edit

I see the above post sort of answers my question.

Not sure where you got this from ... But I'm afraid it's not that easy! Lots of issues including if building its listed, within conversation area or location of the shed (front gardens would certainly need planning permission!). Check out advice on planning portal.
Surely as a temporary structure it's exempt from planning permission?

Just type in log cabins in the search box when you are on the Costco site. There are prices for installation or delivery only.

34mm is really not very good for a cabin, at this thickness its more just a large shed. This is not a great deal as well, last summer we bought a 4m x 4m 58mm log cabin from Tuin for £2k, for another grand we had a solid concrete base laid and the cabin is wonderful, solid as a rock and also double glazed as standard, made with top quality northern european spruce wood. Couldn't get better for the money.
Since when has 34mm flat planed planks been classed as Log?

A fair bit of the Costco cost is on the installation. The closest equivalent cabin in size and construction that Tuin do (Lulea, 34mm logs, less in the way of glazing than the Costco version) is around £1500 delivered in the sale right now (£1800 normally). How much of that £1000 difference will be taken up by a contracted installation? The Tuin price doesn't cover shingles, glue, fixings which will be included in the fully installed Costco version.

I wouldn't say then that there's much in it if you are not intending to undertake the build yourself when comparing the Costco one and the Tuin equivalent fully installed. .

Better materials in the Tuin range seem to cost 50% more, but it looks like money well spent.

As a Costco member I've looked at it a good few times as one of these summers something like this will land in the back garden, having the delivery and installation included plus the bulletproof Costco warranty does make it something I've considered

How is it temporary? It's not exactly moveable is it, and once it's up it isn't coming down I'm a hurry. It's clearly an outbuilding and in some instances planning permission will be required. Best check planning portal and contact your local authority to be sure.

its temporary as it can be moved if needed and is not integrated into the ground, brick walls can't be without demolition.

These are classed as log cabins due to the way the structure is built rather than the fact that it is made of logs. The timber is interlocked and not screwed or nailed in place like a regular shed is allowing the whole structure to rise and fall with differences in moisture/heat throughout the year. It woukd be nice however if they at least make the timbers look a bit more "log like".
just buy a tent
I have something similar to this but with less windows I'm currently turning it into a home cinema room.

It can easily be removed so it's a temporary structure just like a potakabin is...
single glazed, was it made in the eighties??

Yeah, a proper con.

I like mine a little more rustic, although I've yet to find one like this sub £3000
