Plus £4.98 postage

no size 10s

I ordered both as i could not decide which.

Ordered the high boot for hubby who is very happy. They are very good quality and due to website error, which was corrected immediately,I got them for 24.95 & p+p.

all good , apart form the toe protector !!!!

I don't like them , they rub and catch my toes when walking up or down hills and angled slopes,

I think this is why they are on offer !!!

these toe caps are aluminium ..Does that stop them being used as safety boots on site ?

There is also: Forma AQUA [CL] S3 WR SRC GORE-TEX Safety Hiker Chukka … There is also: Forma AQUA [CL] S3 WR SRC GORE-TEX Safety Hiker Chukka Boot AQUA £29.95 + P&P sizes 5 -12 for those not wanting such a high boot. What is Forma footwear like? Is the fit about right or a bit on the small or large size?

They look better for me, thanks.

Hot for me.
Hot for your feet too if you work indoors.

Stupid question possibly > could these be used in winter weather e.g. snow when just walking to work? Just wanted something cheap for winter.

Means you can get through airport security then still kick people in the nuts?

In all seriousness I think safety labels just come from how much weight they can hold.

I was even luckier. Due to a website error, which was corrected immediately, it cost me nothing. Very pleased.

You can most certainly where regular safety boots on flights / through airport security.
Have to take them off and xray them, but you can certainly take them.

Do these have the zip on the inside? I cannot go back to Boots without the Zips on the sides as Im on and out of them all day. Its much easier to have the Laces tightened to where you fel comfortable and just zip/unzip when you want them on and off.

ecco for me all the way

From the product description "GORE-TEX 4 layer GORE-TEX membrane contains 1,4 billions of pores per square cm, big enough for moisture vapour to escape, but too small for wind, rain and snow."

I just to look and there are no zips at all.

Questions for anyone who's bought a pair...

are they narrow or wide fitting at the toe end ?

are they black ?

Cheers,

Good, so as long as I don't put wind, rain or snow inside them they will work.

I work in a power station, these meet all our requirements and I've had them for about 6 months. Generally good, but if ya on ya feet for a long period of time pay a bit more for a bit more comfort.

does anyone know if these boots comfortable to walk in all day?

Sent to a few friends. Thanks.

Black colour.

Width generally seems to be fine. Not tight or snug and not like there is too much space throughout the boot. One thing I found when I tried them on to see if they fitted me (I tend to take a UK13) is it felt that my feet seemed to be tilted a little more than in other shoes and boots. By this I mean I had the sensation of the heel being slightly higher than normal to the forefoot. Certainly don't see an excessive heel. Maybe it is the gel shock absorber.

A couple of small scuff marks in places are present on my pair which probably happened at the factory and as a result of the metal lace hoops maybe rubbing the other boot in transport within the storage box.

I've only briefly tried them on to see if the size was okay. Not yet tried them out to see about comfort levels but there seems to be good padding around the ankle and at top of the boot.

I'd probably say to just order your normal size unless you tend to get shoes/boots with your toes touching the end or extremely close to the end.

I have tried them on today and found the tilting experience also. Size wise the 8 i ordered fit as expected.

Could the tilting experience be a feature of safety boots/shoes to aid weight distribution for grip?

Thanks for replying stating you also experience the tilt. At least I now know it isn't just in the pair I have!

I have this brand of boot, You will find that they have glued a second sole onto the existing ones. I peeled them off before I binned them and they where much more level.

I found the gel bits on the underside of the insole today and removed them. Yes much better now.
