Get a new hubby
I did go off GT5 for a while but after the recent addition of remote racing I'm obsessed again.

Does he watch F1 on TV? If so he will like it, if he doesn't like proper racing simulation he may not, although the short online races can be quite fun.

forza is great for racing hovercrafts dressed up as cars....:p..F1 is the best at what it does, but only get if your pretty serious about F1 simulation games.

I think i would take the gamble and get it as this game does hold it's price when trading in. I love the time trials, play the tracks as the season progresses and you really enjoy the coverage as you know every corner and straight.

What do you mean by remote racing on GT5?

I'm finally going to give this a go. Got a steering wheel for the PS3 and want to try something other than GT5 with it.

Excellent price

Me and a few friends are doing a full season of 50% races, one of them recently got a wheel, he was a bit cack at first but now he's much better than the rest of us, much smoother cornering, gradual acceleration. gonna have to get one myself, been looking for a decent deal for ages.

If you've got people on your friend list that have the game, and they are willing to race your B-Spec drivers you can get some decent credits for the main game. Which means you can afford some of the meatier cars. So far I've earned 10 million credits from remote racing.

Awesome game and stunning for the price!

It's not exactly sim, but it's in between that and arcade, great game nonetheless.

would rather shop with shopto.

Great deal but would never use shopto. A while ago there were problems with credit card details getting hijacked. Also they often dont deliver and are then a pain to get a refund from. One bad experience is enough, but three !!!!!!!

I must have bought items from ShopTo at least 7 times. never had order problems, never had delivery problems, never had a problem getting in contact with customer services over the phone and never have had my credit card details hi-jacked. Currently I have a pre-order with them for another item.

Sometimes I wonder members here just use scare tactics to deter people from using a website for no apparent reason.

Why do you do this? Why?

btw: deal heated. good game, good price

Bought this at £18 a few weeks back and am playing it now. Mostly enjoying it although you do get called in the pits at the worst time possible!
A race I played yesterday held me in the pits until almost everyone had gone by. Went from 1st to 21st in 1 pit stop!
Weather effects are very good though. Hot

Must... resist...

Edit: I didn't.

P.S. I hate this site for making me buy games I can't afford!

Qualify with Prime instead of Options, this puts you "out of sync" with the AI pitstops

Could you not find something that is relevant today in 2011 not 2009?

Showing as out of stock for me.

No better time to buy a F1 game than the start of a season me thinks.

Hence why I just purchased Formula 1 97 for my PS1 the other day

I've also had problems with shopto and this game infact bought with a steering wheel which didn't work properly and had a nightmare returning it got a partial refund , comms went on forever and gave up in the end so I will never use them again . Don't like their laggy website either .

That game stole soooo many of my teenage hours loved the fact that the engines would blow randomly and start to billow blue smoke... even better when your mate was in front and it was his car!!! On that note, do the cars "fail" on this game?!?! Eiterh way, at this price Im having it!!

Tempting but new 1 arriving mid September but if buy then, season be near over. might wait til summer when drops below tenner

Cheers. Just got mine! I will give it ago after qualifying.

Edit: Fantastic game. Very happy with it. Thanks OP!
