I got one of these at the office and the quality is very clear. For £30.00 I think it's worth it.

You can access the camera via app.
The setup is straight forward.

Mate of an event is detected it sends you an email and records to sd card? Does it work well as a feature? Can you live view from android and a web browser?
Pretty bad product, doesn't have night vision so absolutley pointless for security. Also another example of a Chinese company not paying VAT. I would highly reccomend the C1 for a few more quid than the Lite...

You can view and record live from an android device.
I havent use the sd card function.
it also email you when the motion is changed.
Thanks dude, I would have one next to my router and connected network cable but this is wireless only. FOSCAM are a very good make.
I've got a Foscam C1 (not the Lite version). On the plus side, the picture quality is pretty good. Even night view I can see clearly across the room. And you don't need to pay a subscription to get the services, unlike some other IP cameras.

However, the Android app is pretty awful, it knocks about 25% off of my phone's battery life. I'm using a 3rd party app instead, but it required port forwarding on my router and you only get a much lower res view. If you want to do config or view via a browser, you've got to use IE9 or earlier. Chrome, Firefox, Edge and IE10+ are out as the plugin won't install and it throws you out at the login screen.

I set it to continuously record to the SD card for the first time last weekend. It was picky about the SD card I used (a Samsung EVO 32GB worked, but a Sandisk and a Kingston didn't). It did record for 4 days straight, but stopped allowing remote access after about a day. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing was full of security holes too.

It's considerably cheaper than a Nest Cam, but don't expect the same experience.

Taken from the manufacturers website: -
IR Range N/A

It is a downgrade to the C1 in black and this seems like the downgrade!

No problem, hopefully it's as good as you think but I am guessing not!
I've got one and I've been testing it for a day. So far I've lost the link from my iphone to the camera and unable to recreate it despite deleting and then recreating. I then tried to access the camera from a browser. Unfortunately it will not work if your Windows PC is 64 bit. I then used the browser from the laptop which runs on Windows 32 bit but still no connection. So far I have no way see what is on the camera real time. I also could not find anywhere in the phone app (when it did work) on how to send a photo or video clip to my email. Support said it can be done but didn't say how so I'll have to chase up unless I return it for a refund. There was also no way to view local recordings through the phone app.
Is there a camera for around £20-£30 that uses secure servers (not chinese), that has the SD storage option as well, night view and a decent picture resolution?
