I have been looking for a decent video baby monitor for a while now and this is an excellent one for under £100. Good features including pan/zoom, 5hr battery life.

Limited availability in the UK therefore worth getting hold of whilst available.

Better to buy amazon.co.uk/Ori…tor

It has a dedicated apps for iOS/Android (inside and outside the home network). Access via web browser, pan/zoom, audio both ways. infrared (works in complete darkness), wifi or eth. We've been using it for about 4 months now. No regret. And 50% cheaper than Foscan.

if you have a smart phone or tablet then you don't need this setup. Search for any PTZ IP camera. Been using generic Foscam clone as a baby monitor for years. Numerous apps available.

love my foscam been in my lo bedroom and lead to lovely peaceful nights and nap times. however as someone else said just use the foscam and phone app which is great.

To be honest although it would be nice to access via smartphone I have problems with battery life already. Coupled with internet being down at the moment I would prefer a seperate system.

You don't need an internet connection to view IP cameras in your own home. Just a working router and connect directly to the cameras IP address and port via the app.

Yup. You only need internet connection if you want to use it outside.

Ah that sounds good. So if I have a foscam set up as a baby monitor and link it to my ipad/iPhone - can I still use my iPhone/ipad for its normal functions? Will it cut to if there is sound/movement?
