- Impressive design with full touchscreen display

- Smartphone connection expands what the watch can do

- Fitness tracking helps you stay motivated for workouts

- Downloadable apps and contactless payments

Impressive design

The whole face of the Fossil Explorist FTW4016 Smartwatch is a touchscreen display, so you can customize the dials and reach your most used features with a single tap. The strap and watch face are interchangeable too, so you can mix it up to match your style.

Smartphone connection

Sync the Fossil Explorist HR to your smartphone with Bluetooth to receive notifications for texts, calls, emails, and apps straight to your wrist. With a simple “OK Google”, you can ask about the weather, set a reminder, get directions with GPS capability, and much more. While travelling, it'll automatically update to match whatever time zone you find yourself in, so you're always on time.

The Explorist HR is also NFC compatible, so with GooglePay you only need to touch your watch to a card reader to instantly pay for your petrol or pick up the bill.

Fitness tracking

Get the most out of your workouts. Using GPS you can track your speed and distance, and your heart rate will also show on the screen for extra motivation. The Explorist is also swim-proof, so every workout is recorded accurately whether you're in the gym or the pool.

Downloadable apps

You can download apps directly onto the Fossil FTW4016. This really opens up what the Explorist can do - control your music, find somewhere to eat, or just play a game.

Don't reach for your wallet when you need to make a payment. Just wave your smart watch over the card machine, and the Fossil will make the payment just like a contactless card.

Thats a lecture? strange, seems to me it was just a benign correction to your information not being applicable to this post, which it isnt.
Had one of these and returned it. Battery is terrible and the performance is laggy. It’s a shame as it’s a very cool looking watch.

This was last year so things may have changed.

Battery life up to 1 day...
I have the Galaxy watch, which is very good at most things but just doesn't have the same appeal looks wise to some of the other manufacturers including this! I hope Samsung nail the nest generation, or fossil maybe look towards Tizen!
I had one but sold it great watch but battery life is terrible if you use a lot in the day , it wont last a day
I have a Fossil Sport and I get a day and a half out of it which is fine for me I just charge it while I get dressed/shower and I am good to go.
Is there a substantial difference between between the 2100 and 3100 processor in then newer gens?

I currently have the Huawei watch 1 but in need for an upgrade cos it's slow and no longer getting updates
Just wish Barclays would support nfc or aqua for that matter.

I have the gen 4 in black, great looking watch but let down by the poor battery life and lagginess. Awaiting delivery of the Amazfit Gtr posted at the end of April. Good price though if you are looking for one.

Lol just seen your comment, exact same thoughts.
Is it on board music or through a smart phone?
Great looking watch. I've had two and unfortunately not because they were good but because they broke. In both cases the back plate came away and only after general wear (admittedly I did use them for running). Long story short, if you want one for sports wear then go elsewhere, if you just want a watch that does health stats and looks good, this will do.
Buyer Beware and all that - Fossil aren't doing well with the sending bought stuff out. I got onto Paypal after more than a week and it's "pending" payment - but I can't cancel. They say give an EXTRA 7-10 days, but won't let you cancel. You can send it back when you receive it and God knows when you'll get your money back.
It may not happen to you, of course. But just be aware. Caveat Emptor, chums

Really nice looking watch. Last thing I read about a fossil smartwatch though was it had terrible battery. Anyone know of this will last a full day?

I have the silicon strap gen 4. You can easily get 1 day out of it with moderate use. I use it for notifications, android pay, fitness etc... Has to be charged everyday, you will not get 2 days.

Thanks for that, as long as it gets through a 16 hour day I'm good.
This is cheaper and the exact same watch under a different skin hotukdeals.com/dea…d=7

I got one and it's a bit laggy, but it'll do for the price.
I have this and can say it's a beautiful watch but I hardly ever use it as having to charge every day is a real pain.

If you are cool to charge it every night then go for it.

Not crap at all. But likely limited by poor battery life - but most smart watches are. Nice watch.
Personally, I'm just a bit annoyed by Fossils service - which seems to have pointlessly touched a nerve with some for some weird reason.....
@PhilK why would you comment about offers from Fossil when this deal is from Curry’s who are carrying the stock - LOL
Buyer beware my very recent experience with Curry's has been frustrating & very poor, tried to return a phone 12+ hours on phone, hung up on by agent when I got through to ask to return. Messages through Facebook told me to ring, the vicious circle. I gave up!

Wearos are, other smart watches seem to have solved the problem pretty well, Google seem to be slowly abandoning wearOS which is a shame.

I have a fossil gen 5 which I can get two days out of with one 40 min run and most things turned on. The magic watch 2 I had before could do 2 weeks with 6 runs on one charge, and the amazfit bip did nearly a month.

I've got one on order but its been delayed by at least 7-10 days, which makes it nearly 3 weeks, is why I did the buyer beware thing - for some reason and if I could get 2 days out of it, i'd be quite pleased. After all, most of us charge our phones every day !

Ceaton - why does it wind you up so, that I did ????
While I'd never wear a Fossil or a smartwatch, if I absolutely had to wear a smartwatch this would probably be it.
Nice watch with decent features by the look of it.

That battery life totally ruins it though, big fat no I'm afraid.

Been using the Amazfit GTS for a while now and I think it's all I really need from a smartwatch. Have never had Android wear or Apple watch, but I can't imagine daily charging after having something that can last weeks if used sparingly. I hear some criticism about the GPS accuracy, but it's good enough for me. Big upgrade over the Amazfit Pace, imo.

Also a Huawei watch 1 user, performance is a massive increase over the Huawei W1. The 2100 to 3100 is not a huge jump from what I seen but the performance is a little better and the battery is a little better. Its not a generation jump in my eyes. Although in terms of quality I think the Huawei watch 1 has it beat, such as the sapphire crystal screen and the size.

Yeh I do like the glass just doesn't scratch even to this day, although the case has a few scuff marks but not noticeable far away and of course the no bezel and decent size, one of the best built watches. Is the fossil continuing to get updates do you know?
