No heart rate monitor, poor excuse of a "smart" watch
At this sort of price - who makes the best watches? Seiko? Casio? (I am not a watch person)

I'd go with Seiko or Citizen is this price range.

Seiko 100%. I managed to get a Seiko last week from Argos which was down from £130-140 to £70 and it was an absolute steal. There's a few different models in that price range. I'd personally recommend the Seiko 5.

The TAG Heuer Connected has no HR monitor yet I believe that is classed as a smart watch.
this looks really good for a man's watch. is fossil q a decent watch brand?

i am used to the swiss brands like tissot, raymond weill, longines. how does fossil q compare to these for the accuracy watch and how do they compare to apple or samsung for smart watch?

i am not into designer brands, i want quality and accuracy (but obviously with good elegant looks).
