Awesome case!

Great price and a great case.

What is it ?

Great price for this

What is it ?

It's the latest drinks cabinet, they have fans now to keep your drink cool.

best case i've ever owned (and i've owned a few)
Mine doesn't have the window though but still..
Love it.
At this price do not hesitate (also i have never had a problem with Scan. They're a decent outfit)

Wish it was this price when I bought my Fractal Node 804, tempting still.

Great case. Wish I had the windowed option

Awesome price!

Anyone have any experience with this case and a corsair h100i GTX water cooler ?

how quiet is the quiet?... sorry it may sound silly to some.. but this is designed for quiet.. does it come with sound dampening mats?.. quiet noise fans..
would appreciate your observations as an owner.
cheers...

What is the point of having a window on the side of your tower?

I never quite understood that design choice.

When your PC is powered by hamster wheel it's easier to just open the window and drop some food in.

Several things make it almost silent;

1. It weighs a flippin' ton!! (Really dense materials so no vibration)
2. Sound dampening material on all panels.
3. Large fan mountings to use slower large fans.
4. Rubber mountings for every device.

As a guide on how quiet this is, I have it in my bedroom on 24x7, and the only time I can hear it is when I'm playing games (and it gets a bit warmer). If I remember correctly, it comes with two almost silent fans, and I added a third. I also bought a higher rating PSU than I need, just so it could run without the fan being on.

I think the windowless version (the one I have) is slightly quieter, but this isn't far off.

None, really. My Lian-Li cube has a clear top and it's occasionally interesting to watch those fans whirring away
On the other hand your cable management will always be on show... Some builders also like case lighting, though I'm not keen.

I bought 2 Fractal Desing R4 cases last year and fitted extra fans in both. The 2 cases are pretty damn quiet

Thanks op ordered one!

Only paid 53 aswell since i had some paypal discount code in my ebay messages so check them before buying!

I have this in windowless form and have built another for my brother using the same case I was so impressed. I am however looking at a new build and would like a more compact form factor. I am likely going to go with a water cool option and don't want to overly limit my gpu in terms of size. Any suggestions for a sweet little case cos this thing is a bit of a beast.

quiet enough for me. I record voice overs on my pc from time to time

I bought a windowless r4 last year. My 1st build since I was a kid 15 years ago. As much as I love my case, I kinda wish I could see inside it.

I was so adamant I didn't need a childish window to look through, but now I want to be able to see my gpu!!!

You can buy a window side panel for around £17...

cheers guys.. appreciate the advice

Fantastic case shame about the supplier.

this case is the shizzle for rizzle!!

Good price, excellent case. Almost wish I was in the market for one.

looking for a micro-atx case
any suggestions

Another positive review from me , i have the window less version, great case. Dust filters for 2 front fans work really well as does the filter underneath the psu. Obviously depends on your components inside but even heavy gaming it,s fairly quiet , again the type of fans you have will help, i used fractal silent ones.

For those interested in what it looks like with the daft door open.http://imagescdn.tweaktown.com/content/4/5/4551_08_fractal_design_define_r3_usb_3_0_black_pearl_mid_tower_chassis_review_full.jpg

Nice case but i would pay the extra for the R5.

Got a node delivered today, but hot for this deal nice case r4

This is my old gaming pc, built it around 2011 and so the hardware is ancient but still runs games at decent settings, anyway a side window is great though, lets you see all your shiny hardware and is something to stare at when I'm procrastinating/day-dreaming.

R4/5is an awesome chassis however I eventually went with the copycat version TT Suppressor F51, which is a shame on copyright, but works far more better than original fractal.

brilliant!

I've got this, it's huge, very well made and near silent. I'm using on board graphics though. Recommended.

I'm after a new case, this ticks all the boxes. Might be a bit large though.

Was thinking about this case for a new build. To pair with a fanless CPU Cooler and fanless power supply. Silence is key to this build. Have been attracted though by the ultra small Intel NUC style offerings, but some people say they can get loud, which is exactly what I don't want. A tiny PC would be sweet though. In 2 minds at the moment.

I was going to buy this but ended up with the Razer H440 #csb

Great case and price, heat from me. Very solid and quiet, its large though so make sure you have space for it!

great case - if it wasnt for the light I wouldnt know its on when pushing the power button. Had well reviewed cases before at the 30-40 quid mark and this is a whole different world. It is big though so be sure to measure up !
