Tony Rome:
When the beautiful danger of a prominent businessman is found drunk and unconscious in a hotel room, private detective Tony Rome (Frank Sinatra) Is hired to avert scandal by escorting her home. The next day, however, the girl's diamond pin is mysteriously missing and thugs ransack Rome's houseboat in the hope of locating it. To top it all, Rome discovers hi ex-partner dead in his office. One of Sinatra's most exciting screen roles, Tony Rome also features Richard Conte, Jill St. John, Sue Lyon, and Gena Rowlands.
Lady In Cement:
The action-fillled sequel to Tony Rome again stars Frank Sinatra as the renegade detective. While diving for treasure, Rome discovers a beautiful blonde anchored by a block of cement! Hired by a man named Gronsky (Dan Blocker) to find a missing girl, Rome wonders if the dead blonde and the missing girl are one and the same. He also wonders why everyone he talks to either winds up dead - or out to kill him! What's worse, the number one suspect in the murder turns out to be Gronsky himself! The all-star cast in this electrifying film includes Raquel Welch, Richard Conte, Martin Gabel, Pat Henry and Lainie Kazan.
The Detective:
When the son of politically influential man is brutally murdered, thick-skinned detective Joe Leland (Frank Sinatra) is assigned to the case. His job becomes even more challenging when he has to convince the entire police department to see past the victim's sexuality. After the dead man's roommate is convicted and Leland moves on to his next case, it appears that the two cases may be linked, and the wrong man may have been penalised. With an all-star cast that includes Lee Remick, Tony Musante and Jack Klugman, The Detective is one of Sinatra's most gritty and powerful films.
