Are they quite formal places or nice and relaxed? I find most restaurants intimidating so tend to avoid

The restaurants are in the style of an old style american diner
When it's busy its like any other jam packed restaurant but its quite nice and spacious so you dont feel like your sitting on the next table
But its nice and service is pretty good

We only tend to go a couple of times a year for special occasions, but nice padded booths and food pretty good (you can watch them cook in our local one, not sure if that’s the same elsewhere?) used to be packed when we first started going years ago, definitely quieter the last couple of times. Not formal at all though, enjoy!

Not formal at all, but can be chaotic when they are full. Child friendly. They like many chains are starting to lose their appeal and are not as busy as they used to be.
we like the child friendliness of the place and usually spacious.. go there when kids invited for birthday parties etc... i've only ever ordered a pizza there once in last 5 years and that felt like a frozen smart price pizza so based on that one experience alone i can't recommend their pizzas atleast...
Food quality really down the pan in these restaurants. Better quality in the frozen aisle in Tesco!
