Is it me or have they have gone downhill? My last 2 experiences there this year have been very poor.

How bad are Frankie and Bennys?

My wife cooks better food.

Awful food. I don’t know why it doesn’t get a complete menu overhaul to compete with better chains.

No Halloween cocktail in Scotland- not even a non alcoholic one -how mean is that ! Had 2 meals and a gin £17.

No free cocktail in Scotland that's bad won't be going now

Went downhill several years ago! I used to class it as a good meal out but then started getting really poor quality food so stopped going!
When I can make my own ribs and chicken nicer at home no point going out

Heat for posting the deal though anyway!

Food is below par (apart from their pizza which is good), and the price they charge for soft drinks is shocking.

Going where? Scotland?

If you have a choice , I would pick TGI's over Frankie and Benny all day long .

Definitely wouldn't go anymore. Me and the other half went to Silverburn a few months ago. £15 for a cheap processed poor textured burger and about 10 fries each. No salad, coleslaw plate filler. Better quality in Weatherspoons for half the price and the drinks are way cheaper. I don't do Maccy D but would have been better than we had in there.

Not the only one we don't enjoy, they've all gone downhill over the last 3 or so years. Quality has taken a major downturn and everything is ordered in frozen/ready prepped. It's a fast food joint that doesn't serve food fast!!

Someone I know works there and told me they spray a solution on the grill that smokes and gives diners the impression they are using the thing but they actually cook most food in the microwave!

Went last night in Meadowhall cost £16 for 8oz steak and half chicken and ribs and 2 free cocktails, food was good i thought and very good value, place was packed and food took 15 mins to arrive.

15 minutes to cook half a chicken? That's some oven lol! Can't quibble at £16 though

Strange some people want amazing food cooked from fresh and really cheap and quick. Order a cooked chocked from fresh and wait 2hrs? For £3? Someone share a link please! All chains get food ordered in and don't pop down the local butchers or fruit and veg shop
Stack it up and sell it cheap. 😃

Me and te Mrs went last night and had 2 x steak and chips + a pint of stella and a glass of prosecco + 10 free haloween cocktails and it came to £22.35 with my 50% voucher which is free if you download the F&B app or visit their FB page!

We got a free halaween cocktail each and really liked them so after eating went to the bar for a couple more expecting to pay but the they come up on the till as free so we juat chilled out and ordered a few more!

The staff were brilliant and more than happy to keep serving us free cocktails!
Might go again tonight lol

Can’t argue with that.

many restaruants do 50% off, (voucher cloud) and out of all of them ive been too frankies and benny was the worse, I thought it be good after looking at menu, but went twice to try things but both times took forever to get food and when did was dissapointed as it was cheap tasting and poor... for example chicken wraps tasted like tesco 3£ meal deal

Reasonable price for poor quality food

I feel they have gone downhill in the last year. Portion size is crap now. Just makes u feel ripped off now and like u don't wanna go again.

Really poor quality food and even poorer service. I'm amazed people are still going, can't speak for other ones but local one is pants!

I find the food is quite nice, but for the pricing, is a bit expensive. Just to get sides of Onion rings and Chips costs about £8 quid.

I would agree is not quite as good as was a few years ago, but "downhill" seems a bit harsh to me.

Still the most expensive microwave meal you’ll pay for. The only thing they cook fresh is the pasta.

I can see the 50% off voucher but how do i get the free cocktail too?

5-6 years ago it was great.

I'd rather eat out of a bin now, instead of F&B.

I'm glad I've seen these comments as they back up our feelings. We don't go often, probably 1 every year or so. However a few years ago it was quite a treat to go there and we got a nice meal. However the last 3 times we've been I've found the food to be overpriced rubbish. The quality has really gone downhill - I even had to ask "Is that it?" when my meal was brought over.

Many other places with cheaper and much better quality food.

Been on holiday with the family recently and we went to the Frankie and Benny's in Liverpool east lancs and the one in Newquay Devon. The service and quality of the food was consistent and fantastic in both branches. All the staff in Liverpool were brilliant but I have to say the manager who served us in Newquay was outstanding nothing was too much trouble in either branch and we were made very welcome.

We've been to branches in Derby, Leicester, Nottingham and Dudley in the last year and always find the food really nice and service quick. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Portions are just the right size always very filling.

My comments have purely been about the food downhilling and never the service, staff are always friendly. This alone won't get people in the door.

I think the breakfast menu and the weekday lunch menu tastes better than the evening and weekend that's why we only go at certain times but we go a few times a week to the sunderland branch

I am genuinely surprised Frankie and Bennys hasn’t got out of business yet. Crap food, restaurants that haven’t had a refurbishment in 15 years and waitinfg staff who can’tbe bothered.

Used this deal on Saturday. Couldn't fault it.

We got a sharing starter, a main each, one spooky cocktail each and a large pepsi. Total bill came to less than £18 - cocktails were lovely too and the atmosphere was awesome as well. Different playlist to usual and all the staff were dressed up. Make the most of this offer before tomorrow!

10?! I wish I'd have known, we only had the 1 each and I thought that was a good enough freebie!

Yeah that sucks, although increasingly common now, have had enough of Scotland being discriminated against, and most likely to boycott anything that joins in this growing trend. I don't even like cocktails too! But is the principle of the thing.

greasy garbage , a bit like 50% off a block of lard.

Went yesterday, hardly any food left, no steaks, no chips, no salmon, no pizza (as the oven had broken) - even the waitress didn't know why they were open! But the free cocktails were really good!!

I'm surprised to see so many negative comments. We go to F&B fairly regularly, it is probably my favourite place to eat out. Their pizzas are great, and the service is always second to none at our (not so) local. I do however agree that their pricing is excessive, hence we generally go when there is some kind of deal or voucher to use...

It's nothing to do with discrimination! We have different licensing restrictions in Scotland, so can't be giving away free alcohol. Same in TGI Fridays and the likes. Boycott away

In which case, there is of course absolutely nothing else they can offer as an alternative? (remember Scotland is still in the UK), is one region being treated differently to another. A free something for you guys, but no free something for you guys over there. Nice.

I'm quite happy being north of the border and receiving free prescriptions. No need to get upset because Frankie and Benny's won't give you a free non alcoholic cocktail!
