What can you say about Boyle that hasn't already been said? Quite simply, he's one of harshest and hysterical comedians about at the moment. Some of his gags won't be for everyone due to their crude nature (think of Jimmy Carr multiplied by Jim Davidson) but for the open-minded of you who accept everything as fair game in comedy, this is a great show to own.

Overall, there was rarely a moment where I wasn't shaking with laughter when watching this show when it was recorded at the Hackney Empire in London. Boyle tackles his usual variety of topics, specialising in current affairs, Scotland and the downright indecent and brings the house down on a number of occasions. A success from start to finish and definitely one to have in the collection!

I saw Frankie Boyle live a few months back and consider myself to be fairly broad minded but even I was shocked.
If ever you see him live don't arrive late or attempt to take a loo break!!

Agreed, I've seen a lot of comedy and most will give you stick but nothing like the treatment that he gave to people. Luckily, I wasn't one of them!

Can't stand the guy. Don't find him funny, just obnoxious. Hot price though, well done OP.

I saw him live and thought he was very good, but not for the easily offended. Heat added

I too paid to see him live after finding him really funny on TV. He was a completely different animal on stage though - much more offensive and less funny - and I wished I hadn't wasted my time and money. His support act was even more offensive than he was; and that can't be easy. The whole thing was really cringeworthy. I don't think he has to be that offensive or crude to be funny. I hope you don't regret your purchase if you decide to buy.:santa:

all comedians are different live than they are on tele

I've watched the DVD and I must agree with some of the comments here. He is not exactly over-offensive he just seems like a complete amateur on stage. He attacks people so viciously it makes you cringe and think, wow.. This guy is messed up lol. I am not easily offended whatsoever he just acts on stage a lot different than he does on Mock the Week. A lot of the material he uses I had already heard on Mock the Week also which was a real shame.

I have watched the Dara O'Briain Talks Funny: Live In London DVD and would encourage people to get that instead if they like Dara as it is a lot better than Frankie's DVD.

I was going to mention his warm up and agree that he was awful and more offensive than Frankie but not even slightly funny. I bet he doesn't feature on the DVD!
