For me, this is THE album of the early 1980's. A well decent price to boot. I was feeling a wee bit nostalgic. Anyone who was a FGTH fan will love this album again.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood: Holly Johnson, Paul Rutherford (vocals); Brian Nash (guitar); Mark O'Toole (bass, background vocals); Peter Gill (drums).
Additional personnel: Steve Howe (acoustic guitar); Andrew Richards, Ann Dudley (keyboards); Louis Jardim (percussion).

But Pleasuredome is the experience (IMO)

This is great. I have been listening to the title track; Welcome to the pleasure dome for the past year or so. Listening to it with adult ears over reminds me of how epic this actually was. Hype aside this is a great record.

nonstop, I was going to say *exactly* the same thing! If you remember listening to this in the 80s as a kid, give it another go. I got the reissue CD a few months ago and even at 14 minutes long, the title track has been getting a lot of plays. Play this on good quality equipment and play it LOUD. Annoy the kids and show em what proper music is! From the synthetic jungle sounds at the start to the power chords and orgasmic YEEEEEEEAAAHHH from the backing singers, All the subtleties, layers, mutitracks etc show Trevor Horn's production skills at their very best. Epic is a very good word to use.

Whatever you do though, don't play it in the car. By 12 minutes into the track you will be going much too fast!

Quality album although I have to say, I did better this deal. In Lyme Regis last summer, and bought this at a Car Boot there for £1.00!! Not a mark on it. Sadly no Quidco though!

Motorway. 3rd lane then? Not driving to pick the kid up from school?
