I was gonna buy this for my mum last year but saw that there was virtually no difference between this & most normal ice creams.

The diabetic nurses I spoke to 20 years ago advised against buying these products, saying they were a rip-off, and praying on peoples fears. Following a sensible diet for diabetics has always been thought to be far more beneficial, and cheaper than buying these things.

Heat because its Suitable for Vegetarian

Its full of palm oil meaning rainforests are being decimated and animals that live there are becoming extinct. This product likely has lower amounts of sugar compared to other ice creams. As its a food product and not a drug they can get away with calling it whatever they like. Diabetic ice cream doesn't exist. Neither does epilepsy custard. If you have diabetes eat a sensible portion of ice cream sparingly and maintain a healthy balanced diet.

It's has more carbohydrate value than non diabetic ice cream.

it's poison and cold

What a con trick.

14% sugar. Morrisons eat smart ice cream has only 10% sugar. And it's 2 for £3 at the moment. (Only 900ml tho')

Look into and try to avoid palm oil. It's in everything! Ideally look for rapeseed or sustainable palm (clover margarine have sustainable palm most other margarines do not) 2/3rds borneos rainforests are gone hundreds of thousands of square miles... More. The locals don't benefit from the plantations as China own most and import migrant workers. I'll end my rant now

Thumbs up - and whilst you're at it look at the mainstream chocolate companies and the amount of rubbish including palm oil are in their product as well.

I'm not overly sold on the 'sustainable' palm oil, forests are still getting decimated and I suspect the volume of replacement trees doesn't cover it.

It's right there in the ingredients.

Anyway all mass-produced stuff causes environmental destruction so I wouldn't worry about palm oil being there.
You'd have to stop buying anything from a supermarket to be consistent.

does this ice cream give you diabetes?

Is this the same Frank that owns Factory Carpets? If so, it says it all

Would think so. Diabetics need Fat way more than sugar.

Sorry - Cold. As a diabetic myself, the information I have got both from doctors and official literature is to avoid "diabetic" foods. Diabetics can eat icecream - they just need to watch portion size and, if they use insulin, adjust their dosage to suit.

As implied already, there's no such thing as diabetic ice-cream.. Just an excuse to bump the price up.
I use an insulin pump and was looking for a belt or similar to hold it in and the 3rd party sellers were after £40 for one.. Bought a running belt for £6 and it holds my blood testing gear as well. Nothing short of explanation in my book. Frank can stick his ice-cream.
