Franziskaner wheat beer - 99p a bottle in Lidl

Found 1st Apr 2016
My first time posting a deal - popped into Lidl in Belfast City Centre to get a few beers yesterday. They drop the price of Franziskaner wheat beer from £1.50 to 99p every now and again and it's back on.
It's lovely stuff, quite like Erdinger and Hoegarden but I prefer it to those two.
Not sure if it's national but the ticket made it look like it was.

In an excellent place
Yeah, it's great. Bought too many which has left me hungover today. Nearly cried at a donkey charity ad on TV earlier. oO

There is no such thing as a "best" beer as it is all down to preference. IMHO Hoegaarden is better than this but still a fine tipple!

Welsh Yoda says, I'll be there now in a minute drinking this isn't it
There's a gluten free alcohol free version of this available and naturally it's cheaper, it's called Evian. I think it's quite apt if you say it backwards.
Hoegaarden and Leffe are my fave beers and I'm always on the lookout for any white beers that have a similar taste but not at a premium price, so I will definitely check this one out thanks.

For a split second I read it as Frank Skinner.

I am returning to the UK for good the week after next so all this lagging at ridiculously low prices will end but wait there......give me five to get a pic took and lobbed on me photobucket

One needs to take a bit of stock back to blighty......the Jäger was 9 Euro a bottle, that nasty Jack D single barrel pony I bought for a mate and for the drinks cabinet €22.50 a bottle, the Prince Polignac came in at around €14.50 and the three different vodkas around 9 Euro a piece.

Interspar done their monthly/bi monthly 25% off all spirits last week and the Jack single barrel and Jäger was already on specials.

I am in for a very rude awakening when it comes to alcohol prices from mid April I know

Years ago Evian had an ad campaign which was "Eau" this and "Eau" that. Finally some comedian tagged it as "Eau-verpriced"
