nice price, were they marked down by hand or printed stickers?

Original Poster

150 to 49 printed and 49 to 39 by hand

Brilliant. Totally underated comedy. Better than Friends ever was.

Thanks, Ill look in the Leeds store to see if its nationwide or just a managers special.

Excellent price for a 44 disc set - whenever anything goes below a pound a disc it has to be considered good value.

Wow. Works out as £3.60 per season, for the best sitcom ever made. Amazing.

THE best ever comedy! Have this box set - you won't be disappointed! Think there are about 275 episodes, so by the time you watch them all....you could happily watch them all over again! Heat added! Great price x

Just picked up mine from Leeds HMV, thanks OP, looks like its nationwide!

totally different type of comedy from Friends, although IMO for belly busting laughing out loud then nothing competes with friends. but I do love Frasier

Watched on and off over the years but loving the morning episodes on Ch4. I do still have the whole of the Sopranos which I got for Christmas to get through first though...

Picked it up in Newcastle. Bargain

You're kidding right? I never found any part of Friends "laughing out loud" funny. At most some of them brought a smile to my face. I still like Friends but IMO after watching Cheers and Frasier, I really don't know why I found Friends that funny.

It's nationwide, same price in Bolton, Manchester and Liverpool

Big fan of the show, but they're on TV often enough for me to wait a bit longer I think.

Amazing deal!

agreed wholeheartedly. Friends is poor when you watch Frasier/Cheers etc

Just goes to show how different we all are, I laugh my **** off even though I have seen certain episodes numerous times, I laugh before the funny scene/punchline happens. I find other shows funny but I have never laughed liked friends. I find with Frasier that its more clever though, if you miss the 1st 5 mins of the show then sometimes you won't find it funny, very clever at times and very funny.

Oh dear.

For all its brilliance, seasons 8, 9 & 10 are substandard - but still better than 90% of what's out there.

Already have this , what a great series
Excellent price HOT!

Can I add 'Third Rock from the Sun' in to the mix.

Good deal BTW.

It was at this price last month too when i got it, however the packaging is flimsy and the disk holders cause a lot of the disks to become scratched and unplayable

£49 instore today

£49 in Poole, and they wouldn't budge on the price. Can you believe it, they guy working there hadn't heard of HUKD??! oO

8, 9 & 10 are the very ones missing from my collection! Was going to buy this today as I'm fairly sure it works out about the same as it would buying them individually, so you've kinda made me glad that I couldn't!

Cheers Satan!
(hmph,,,never thought I would ever have to type that)

Where did you hear this? There's certainly no bleeping, IIRC there's not even any swearing in Frasier. Though maybe I just watched these apparently censored episodes.

Love Frasier, without doubt the best US sit com ever, as it is so so clever. Up there with Only Fools.

Been looking for a good deal on this so will try to grab one in store tomorrow.

Ref the edits, i don't actually recall any swearing in the show, so must be for other things such as legal rights with music in the background maybe....

If swearing is bleeped on the DVD, it will have been cut altogether when you saw it on TV. Like that recent ultimate-edition Friends box set, there was a joke at the end of one ep where Joey says a swear word, and I just thought... "well, that was never on TV!"

This will be the same, but bleeped so you can sell it as a 12 not a 15.

Girlfriend very happy. Thanks, heat added.

not sure i want to buy it if its bleeped as whats the point of having the series and listening to bleeps
