You won't leave the car park. However once you get your full licence you get the form to fill in. I compell all to become donors.

Thanks for that mjccam.

Tried it a couple of years ago. I was very nervous but the instructor was lovely...very patient and encouraging.Make sure you can reach the ground with both feet whilst sitting on the bike....I couldn't & it tipped over....massive 'trophy' bruises but I'm glad I had a go

Is there no way to see locations without signing up? Also when does the offer end? Its forced me onto the mobile version and there's nothing to it.

Not really. They're just the local riding schools that have signed up to the site to offer the free taster days when they have time out from people doing their CBTs and regular training. So if you checked now, you might find there aren't many places open close to you for the taster lesson, yet in a month time you might find a few new schools have space to slot the lessons in. Some of course offer them on a month by month basis.

I went with 'get on' when it originally launched and a lot of schools joined in straight away, but it seems like most of them have either dropped out due to winter or are busy. Still, you don't get pestered by them, and you can check for spots simply by logging into the website.

If all else fails, ask around locally yourself and talk to the riding schools, most will be more then welcome to let you have a go on their bikes in their compound/car parks to see if you like it or not.

The offer, I don't think, is going to end as long as there are riding schools out there. It's a very good way to get people to do their CBT and go onto do training and/or pass their test(s) with them. Not only that, but most schools will provide 'ride out' days after you've passed and have your own bike as a biker community for the social aspect of it.

Personally, I continued on and did my CBT with the school I did my taster with, and later on passed my test with them. Still have rides out and have met some great guys and girls who share a passion for biking and that was about 3 and half years back now.

Does anyone know if there are any in Newark and Lincoln? Thx

Uhh... okay.

Yep I got the same, are any places in west London doing it?

It's great! I did it, and then 8 months later finally decided to do my CBT! A no pressure opportunity to give it a try.

One of these hooked me up on Bikes, did one and 3 month later I had driving license

Great thing to decided if this is for you or not. Place I did it, gave me 20% discount for CBT after i did get on.

I want to do this, but everyone I know who's got/had a bike has got an injury / crash story to go with it. I'll stick to the car, don't fancy gravel rash.

When I did this, the same place had a Groupon deal a little while later...CBT for £60 odd...sorted!

Have just had to renew my tax though on my bike...£17 for 12 months, and approx £12 to fill up the tank...can't complain at that, but I can with the weather...roll on springtime!
