Not really...they are useful if you are freelancer/work from home who wants to have a peace and focus on what you do, or who wants to meet client without paying £££ for hiring a meeting room etc...
They offer Fee Wi-Fi and free refreshments and these walk in lounges are open usually from 8.30am to 6pm

cool I got the point. wont need to go to coffee shop anymore

First thing the RICS is not the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors it is the Royal INSTITUTION of Chartered Surveyors so if your going to rip off an RICS members only benefit please get it right.

Secondly, why should websites (or more specifically it's users) have the right to give away part of my professional organisations benefits to any old Tom, Dick or Harry. I pay £500 per year to be an RICS member and it took several years to become Chartered for some pillock to post one of the few extra benefits RICS members get for anyone to use.

Great find, thanks poster!

That's the way HUKD works - people post deals and freebies found online, so you should aim your complaint at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors if you're not happy. Bear in mind though that RICS actually put the code on their website to sign up for Regus so it's pretty much free for all

I’m Malcolm Perryman and I work for RICS. All offers promoted in Benefits Plus (RICS’ member benefits programme) are only eligible for RICS members (and in some cases RICS employees). When RICS’ website was re-launched 12 months ago a decision was made to place some information in front of the login wall whilst our 125,000+ members worldwide were in the process of registering on the new site. This was done for the convenience of members and does not alter the fact that only RICS members are eligible to apply for offers. I have asked Regus send me the full list of card holders who applied using the RICS promotional code. I will then match this against RICS’ membership list and request that Regus rescind all the cards held by non-members. RICS is a regulatory body and enforces the status of Chartered Surveyor, taking action against those falsely posing as Chartered Surveyors. I will pass all details of non-member held cards to our Regulation Team and advise users of Hot Deals UK not to pose as RICS members in order to apply for Benefits Plus offers

Hopefully the involvement of the RICS will now put an end to the misuse of this RICS only benefit. If 'freebies' are published for the public to use then I'm all for it, but using something that is not for the general public to use is fraudulent. It does not matter how the RICS or any other organisation has published their benefit or whatever it is that they are promoting but if it says it is restricted to certain types of people then it is not for the public at large to misuse.

Nothing personal but misuse is misuse.

Good find warrior.

watch out everyone. the RICS police are going to get you! seriously...one day we'll all be dead - do you really want to get this upset about someone else enjoying a benefit as well as you? anyways, if they dont put any processes in place to verify members thats their own stupid fault

If you just take 1 guest to a business lounge and you're not 'entertaining' as such, I don't think you'll be charged - it's more if you use it as a meeting place when you may be charged for guests. If you use a business room you only get charged if more than 1 guest

Used several Regus offices around Europe last year when I did some travelling. :-)

Free tea, fast internet, they even printed my boarding pass for the flight home for me no problem as printing/posting services are included with the package!

Each office is different. My local is very "worn" shall we say. The one in the heart of the Brussels business district though was very nice indeed.

Oh boy, looks like it got a bit heated with the Malcster from RICS. Maybe he'll write to everyone who did apply? Of course, he is also a Hotukdeal member, so hope he applies the same principle any freebie he sees.

This freebie it sounds amazing. Will they charge you after the year is over or do you need to give them notice as per the t&c?

Thanks!
