I've been using one for a few weeks now and it's been good but not without flaws. Can't be used a self serve petrol pump and occasionally fails - just been to get lunch at the co-op and the card failed to authenticate - so you can't rely on this and have to carry a backup

Actually my respect for Curve has raised even higher - presumably you used all caps on your application and it flagged you up for 'extra processing'?

Seriously though, could you explain your reasoning why they are a crap company?
Worth pointing out that purchases are not covered under Section 75 of the consumer credit act if you use your credit card through Curve.

They're supposed to check the identification of people applying.

I actually feel better about applying if they actually check who's signing up

It's not a conventional wallet, you have to make payment with curve card by selecting desired underlying card.

Amex is not supported.

Ah fair enough, I just didn’t fancy carrying that many cards anymore but the same time I need the details on them just in case I make a onlinepurchases. I like how I can pick a card to use at a cash machine.
Received my tenner quickly last time this was on. Used the card on a recent holiday with no problems. Recommended.

Will I still pick up clubcard pionts ?
Just signed up on the app, used the code and added a card. All easy enough. I guess I just wait for the card itself now, activate, and then make a purchase and I get £10 added?
I’ve been using curve for a while now and have had no problems apart from it takes a while for refunds to go back to your account

can we use it in Euros and we still wont be charged any conversation fees and only be charged the value on the day of transaction like Monzo?
So to get the cashback via amazon and sainsburys etc you'd have to use the curve card for the purchases online and offline right?

I have just used my curve at a self service asda petrol station. Where did yours fail, as I will try to avoid it. Cheers Si

It's in their FAQS that it doesn't work at self serve pumps but maybe it's been fixed.
My card failed today at Co-op self checkout, wouldn't 'tap' or use PIN. When I opened the app to double check the PIN it hung on "show PIN" so I guess there was a glitch at 12ish today. Didn't have an alternative card so I was glad it was just a sandwich I missed out on!

I used one this evening, a Maxol station here in NI, worked fine.
I only carry my curve card and Amex now - It was good for the 1 month they supported Amex lol

You can use the Curve card for online purchases. You just select which of your "real" cards it is set to before you make the purchase. If you forget to change to the right card, you just use the "go back in time" feature to switch the payment to another card. I use this all the time an I love it!

Thanks, Can you read your card details on the app? That’s what I ideally need as well.

No, it only shows you the last few digits, the rest are * out.
1% cashback only works on selected retailers right?
I have serious financial issues so I use the 'go back in time' facility to gain an extra 30 days to pay off a bill by timing it just right...

I only have one bank debit card, will I still be able to use it as normal in addition to being able to use this (for online foreign currency)? I'd mainly want it for the £10 and prob not use it after

For storing cards numbers just use 1Password app. Working for me for a couple od years.
Just joined. Does the card take long to arrive? And do they pay the £10 soon after the first card use?
Are they gonna integrate Apple Pay any time soon?
I'm so confused. So I receive a curves card. For example pay £50 on it, do I use whatever card on the app I want first?

So you just carry one card, which has all the other cards on it, but it's linked via an app for you to select which card to use?

Would be handy, as sometimes need cash or pay for fuel (Asda) and you can't use Google pay/contactless for it.

You set it and then only need to set if you want to change to a different card. So if you set to work on your Tandem credit card, it will always be that unless you go into the app and change.

One bonus is that it's a debit card. But you can link to credit cards that earn you points / cashback. That means you can spend it anywhere which only accepts debit cards, yet still earnt cashback. Topping up ISA / SIPP for example!!

You can't, but you wouldn't need to if you used Curve. Just spend on the Curve card and switch between your existing cards.
It's not much different than Google pay? , you can add all your payment card, loyalty card and gift card to it and use it the way you like it

Select a debit card in Curve App and use the curve card in ATM Machine.

Some credit cards also work but no officially supported; so better safe than sorry and use connected debit card for ATM transactions.

Don't really use credit card (except ebay), only my debit cards, so this sounds good. Can just keep 1 card behind my phone. Is this a contactless card and is there a limit on it? Just thinking about security.
