in tcb-
PAYG Handset £150+ gives £35.35 Cashback
PAYG Handset £60.00 - £149.99 gives £20.20 Cashback
PAYG Handset £20 - £59.99 gives £10.10 cashback
Edited by: "AR03" 11th Feb 2012
increased cashback expires in 35 hours:

£15 for PAYG Handsets worth £0-£19.99
£20 for PAYG Handsets worth £20-£59.99
£30 for PAYG Handsets worth £60-£149.99
£45 for PAYG handsets over £150
Those codes are old AR03, they're doing £10 on top of that until tomorrow. Check the quidco section directly. I bought the Vivacity early this morning and it's already tracked at £30 cashback. The sim must be active for three months, but with a deal like this it's worth sticking with them even if the phone is unlocked.

In fact I was just writing this up for the site because it's a far better deal than the OP says. The Vivacity is a clone of the Orange San Francisco II and the ZTE Crescent. It is a very recent phone, has excellent reviews, not to mention is unlockable for free and extremely modifiable if you're into that sort of thing. If you are, this is worth double the value at least.

You also get 6 months free internet (uncapped but throttled after 500Mb per month) and get 100 bonus minutes for a month when you top up £10... which I believe will be twice, since I was told by their customer service that it comes with a mandatory £10 activation topup and the free £10 is a separate voucher.

I want to underline the Vivacity especially two or three times, it was an outstanding deal when it was £20 more until yesterday afternoon, now it's pretty much unbeatable. It even comes with very little vendor software added, making it still a better stock phone than the virtually identical Orange model.

I've done my research but you should Google it, have a read, there are small caveats of course but it sounds like you will not be disappointed. The main one is a tiny amount of memory for apps, only 160Mb or so. If you want to pile a few on, then modifiying it is a must... but absolutely do not do this unless you fully understand what it means and the potential consequences.

Oh man, this was probably my only shot at submitting a massively hot deal and I got pipped by one not as good.

They take £5 and this is £10 more, so perhaps now is the time.
I don't know about anyone else, but for me the prices don't include the £20, but instead have a mandatory £10 addition that gives £20 credit (so for example the "FREE" Alcatel OT-355 is a total of £10).

It's still a great deal anyway though, so voted hot.
How do you keep the simcard active for 3 months?

Is there a mandatory top up every month?

As far as I can tell you, it's as PAYG as anything else, you just have to be using their sim. They're preventing people from just using it to get a phone on the cheap and then disappearing.
Do the PAYG phones definitely come with a SIM card? The order confirmation page suggests putting an existing T-Mobile SIM in, but doesn't seem to specifically mention that it comes with one.

So I could buy one of these, swap the sim with my budget t-mobile contract phone and as long as I leave the PAYG sim connected in the budget phone and don't use the full minutes etc before 3 months up then I will get the cash back without having to top-up, or have I got this wrong.....

Never rely on cashback to make a decision, you can't be sure of it even if you tick every box.
Half OT, but did there used to be an offer where you get a T-Mobile SIM and topup £10 and get free internet for a year? It rings a bell, but I can't find it on here

It'd probably be something piddly like 250MB/month anyway.

Not relying on it, just wondered if need to top up, with £10 free to start with thats £10 now and either no more or £10 later to cover the 3 months sim must be active.

Just wondered if I didn't use the full £20 worth wether I would need to top up in month 3 anyway.

Or is it a case of still needing to do 2 top-ups on top of the initial £10+10 at the start.

You can always call them to check, but their pay monthly deals are separate so I find it hard to believe this would be the case. My understanding is that the paid £10 topup is to get you started, you get a free £10 for whenever you like, and you must be using the sim card in some capacity for at least 3 months.

thisismark

And it's T-mobile so chances of Quidco very slim

I will give them an enormously hard time if they don't pay out, given that it tracked without issue. They even have a dedicated page for Quidco on their own site, so it's not like the relationship is casual.

If they don't, it's a 3 month lead time on 6 months free internet with no contract. Plenty of notice and trivial to go elsewhere if they refuse.

Ah, well I asked because I'm between contracts at the minute and hardly call or text, so £10 for a year's data then PAYG rates for any calls and texts would have been ideal for me.

Do the £5 once and then you can get quidco deals from then on.
ordered a ot black for £10 (for pricematching on tcb so £15 back already dealt with/tracked at right rate)

with free £20 credit (thats going to STD pay via getpoundsback for £12.10 not great but beats ebay and used them before always tracks)

than xx.xx for the phone on ebay/mobile phone recyclers if its worth more with rate + cashback for use, than ebay - cost (should of got the accord sells better tho lol £29.99 for unlocked .99p to unlocked via ebay tho can find code gens for alcatels)

so a possable £27.10 + xx.xx for a £10 outlay not bad lol

Yeah. Quidco is mentioned constantly on here, I just assumed it was the best/only and signed up. I don't care much about the £5 annually, for a useful service that's quite fair. But TCB still seems better in just about every way, except their horrible website design.
