"Buy the June edition of InStyle magazine (£3.99, Daisy Lowe on the front) by Wed 27 May and on the cover you'll get a mini (10ml size) Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum.

The face cream, which allegedly 'address the appearance of uneven skin tone, lines and wrinkles' usually costs £110 for the full-size version - enough to give you worry lines!

You can't usually buy the 10ml version on its own, so we've based the £11 price around the full-size 100ml serum."

*Apparently the magazine is on sale already!! forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho…452

I sent my boyf out first thing in the morning to find the free Chubby Stick last summer, was a wee bit disappointed it was a trial size but it was the thrill of the chase Think I've maybe misinterpreted how the MSE promo page is worded, but I assumed it meant it was out by 27th May. Oops.

Saw the magazine in morrisons but every single free sample had been stolen.

I am a sucker for trying new skincare products and used to haunt the US forum Essentialdayspa. Typically I will buy this, but NOTHING has worked wonders on my skin.

I have done TCA peels, I have an "anti-aging" LED light (Lightstim), had fractional laser treatment, used SPF moisturisers since my late teens.....I think I may as well just give up and smear lard over my fizzog :p!

(Thinks), oh yeah and I had a Dermawand (great on zits, gave it to my teenage niece), Vaculifters (basically suction massage face tools)....all snake oil in my opinion. There's even discussion about face exercises but the jury's out on that one, too.

I do, actually. Most days I use Dove soap and microfibre cloth, a few days a week Oil Cleansing method. Olay SPF moisturiser on my skin every day. I wear very minimal makeup, just a little concealer and loose powder.

I also have Dermarollers (different lengths). I went through a manic few years trying everything but came to the conclusion that it's partly genetics that determine how good your skin behaves/turns out. Dermatologists and beauty therapists tell me the texture of my skin isn't good but I'm stuck with it.

As if to highlight the point, I have a huge crop of zits on one cheek today I don't really get zits like I did in my teens/20s. I'm guessing it's the free sample of Skin Pep Collagen Renew I've been using the last two days under my moisturiser that my skin doesn't like!

My sis and brother also got me the Gift Pack of No7 Protect & Perfect that was a Star Buy at Boots before Xmas. My skin doesn't seem to like that either

Nothing wrong bit of coal soap

I remember a freebie offer at Morrisons where you had to ask at the Customer Service Desk for it, a few months back...can't remember what it was, though.

One remedy for skin problems, I kid you not, is peeing (first pee of the day) onto a cotton pad and cleansing your face with it. Don't think I'd do that one.

It could be worth a try but I do wear makeup (minimal, but still) during the day. Don't want to frighten the children of Glasgow :p!

You could try that, urea has been shown to help relieve some skin conditions. The first pee of the day will make no difference. Honestly, how do these things start and I know people will have actually done it! X)

Or even better, you could simply buy or get a prescription for a urea based cream instead.

Yeah, there was a thread about it on a skincare forum, some of it here essentialdayspa.com/for…498

As an aside, as I was all over the city centre yesterday, I had a good hunt...and didn't find any InStyle magazines. Bah.

Also 2 magazines for £6 in M&S

Those cliniques pay good money for serum I hear.
Might have a try myself
