Some people will appreciate the update, none of the previous ones specifically say '2013' version of Kasperky so think of this post as more of an update rather than new deal and enjoy the rest of your day

unless I'm going blind/misreading there are kaspersky internet suite 2013 deals posted there

and if you click on the first deal in the search result the very first reply mentions the barclays account.

You're very right but most people like me use search strings in the topic, and none of those specifically have the word 'free' in it, which can put people off from opening a thread in the first place.

MSE

Been free for as long as I can remember so not really new!
But a nice reminder for those not already aware of this offer to Barclays customers!

PS: If you have an Apple MAC they will also send you a key for this too! - check the web site for details.

Is this also available for Barclaycard customers?
I cannot find any links for barclaycard from the link and i can only register with a debit card. (which i dont have)

EDIT: Found the answer and it is no

Free or not free, its still terrible software!

It Came installed on my Dell laptop and it was incredibly restrictive about what websites it loaded!
Will be whacking this one with my great big vote cold stick!

Doesn't work with windows 8 when I last tried at the back end of last year .

Kaspersky is free for Barclays account holders for good 5 years. Have mac don't need it, but it is good for windows.

get AVAST free anti-virus

get COMODO free fire-wall

for PC of course

sorted

COST= BIG FAT ZERO

You voted cold because your Delli didn't like it?? Dell couldn't install software properly if their lives depended upon it. Been using Kaspersky for ages with no problems.. Voted hot.

nope brand new quadcore windows 7.... personal computers the macbook pro retina though so no need for any of this sorta rubbish

Kaspersky dosent slow down pc,this problem exsisted 10 years ago,but not anymore. So you are lying and want to be wiser than others, but you aren't.

Kaspersky is the best I've used, I've had it on this particular PC for 6 years now, no issues.

I couldn't find the Kaspersky 2013 Barclays dedicated deal from your link, I hope you don't think members should find deals from replies to other deals lol

Is this available for Barclaycard holders ? I've logged into my account and can't see it.

you might want to try reading my comments again, in none of them did I say there was any dedicated 'deal(freebie' for the 2013 edition. I said there had been deals posted(paid for copies, deals section not freebies section) in which people(or at least one person) mention that you get it free if you have a barclays account.

and this particular 'deal' gets posted and mentioned so often even new users searching for kaspersky internet suite will be able to find out about it, the fact get 'thrown in your face' in every single deal thread that you don't really need to go looking for it.

its not like say someone posted a deal for say game for £10 and someone posted a reply in there saying its £5 somewhere else, usually in that sort of situation someone would post a separate deal but say in my example no one did that so this would be the case of looking for a deal in a reply in a thread which you are suggesting.

The bottom line is, this exact deal has not been posted before and personally I am grateful to the OP for reminding us the Barclays/Kaspersky deal covers the latest version of KIS especially as, from what i've read, KIS 2012 doesn't work on Win 8 so having an update for a long running deal helps this great sites members.

Agree 100% Comodo and Avast is all you need.

I am not lying or trying to be wiser than others when I say that, in my experience, about Kaspersky:
1. It does slow some PCs (eg less powerful netbooks) down and in particular seems to require your PC to have quite a lot of ram to run efificenctly
2. It takes AGES to update its virus definitions, and seems to slow down the PC while that is occurring
3. It does not work reliably with some VPN clients - I had to uninstall it because I couldn't reliably use internet while connected to my work VPN

I don't bank with Barclays. I just have a barclaycard. I tried the link in post #3 and entered my barclaycard number but it doesn't recognise it. That's why I was asking if any other barclaycard holders can get it.

seems neither of you bother reading all the comments that have been posted, post #10 already asked the question and then answered it himself/herself(i.e. that its not for barclaycard customers).

What's your problem Fowler? You're complaining that a member posts an update to a deal by saying everyone should read replies to old posts? Then go out your way by repeating what you've already said but adding detail to prove nothing.
At least I apologised when I made a mistake.

What has my previous comments got anything to do with your and A1M's lack of reading ability? Absolutely F-ALL(or Absolutely nothing if you want to be cleaner) is what in case you can't figure it out for yourself.

Oh and I have nothing to apologise for, I was simply pointing out a fact that this 'deal' gets mentioned in every single kaspersky internet security suite deal that ever gets posted. But from your replies it didn't seem like you were getting the point thus why I felt I had to repeat and clify myself, seems you still have the inability to read what is actually posted rather than what you think is posted as I have not once said that everyone should read old posts.
