You have to be utterly insane to move to RBS, LLoyds, TSB etc. Massive computer problems basically stopping any access to funds earlier this year.

Only do this is you are gaming the system
Rbs are an utter joke of a company

Monzo. And you might get a bonus when open it.
Can you switch from tsb? Says from a non rbs account
Edited by: "royaltee" 13th Jun
Actually started doing this a few days ago... had a query so called the help line. After being on hold for 20 mins I gave up. If that's a sign of things to come I'll not bother
Are most of these deals reliant on you signing up for online banking which I have avoided
Okay maybe they're not great, but Santander sucks anyway. Are there any major reasons not to do this as a young, single person who doesn't use their account for almost anything except storing some money? I.e. my banking needs are almost zero. I had thought about switching randomly, this is a decent enough incentive.

I've been living outside the UK for 5 years so I'm super out of the loop...

very little issues to be honest as long as you don't have anything serious on your credit file (like missed payments); I done 4 switchers last year then applied for a mortgage this spring with no issues at all.

Just checked credit score looks all good still have almost ran out of banks to get cash back as I've done most of them now
Switched the joint account to RBS earlier this year for £150. No issues what so ever with them, the reward account is racking up funds nicely and as we only use the account to pay bills, we don't need to use it for any Withdrawals so the IT issues of past aren't much of a concern.

Get your facts right. RBS weren’t involved with this and there weren’t any computer issues.

Ive been with RBS for over 20 years. They were one of the pioneers of internet banking and I log into my account every day. Never had any issues with them at all.

Apparently swearing is not good on HDUK.

You're a full on window licking idiot, you need to read who caused the financial crisis and the various banks that were split apart. This is an utter SS. You should only join this bank to earn the joining fee, but bare in mind how this will impact your credit rating
only £125 to start... you have to be there a year for the extra £50... plus they usually say a couple of DDs and close to £2k transferred each month.

can't see any favourable monthly savers connected to the bank, either.

there's better out there....

None as far as I'm aware, banked with them my whole life, never once have I been able to not access funds (as long as I have funds available )
Pro Tip - If you haven't done either this (RBS) or NatWest before.. do both at once..

It's within the T&C's as you haven't had a cashback offer from either yet and payment is automatic.

I did it and got £300 in total

Ok, get back into your hole you oxygen scavenger. I was clearly replying to your totally idiotic comment that RBS had massive computers problems earlier this year. Clearly they did not and you are trying to cover yourself by quoting something that happened 10 years ago.... about a week or so after you were born judging by your apparent IQ.

OK 10/10 for this "Ok, get back into your hole you oxygen scavenger". Solid banter

But no, do not under any circumstances join RBS or any of their sibsudarties

You forgot 2012? Unlikely you would have been able to log on to internet banking, and when I say unlikely I mean impossible.

Having worked to RBS for over 10 years I can, with confidence, confirm they are a bank.

But feel free to use them for this offer & then ditch them.
