Free 1GB or 2GB SD card with purchase of 1GB/2GB RAM

Found 27th Mar 2007
This seemed a pretty good freebie if you were due to buy memory anyway! Cheapest 1GB DDR2 memory is £39.93 inc VAT

Please be nice, my first deal post!

4% Discount code seems to work too, though not sure if you can get it to go through quidco.

Marketing stuff:

Looking for the right time to upgrade your RAM? The wait is over! For a limited time, you can get a free Secure Digital card with a qualifying 1GB or 2GB RAM purchase.

Order between 27/03/07 and 06/04/07 and youll get a free 1GB SD card, with the purchase of a DDR2 1GB module or kit or a DDR2 2GB module or kit.

Welcome to HotUKDeals and Thanks for your first deal post
Thanks to OP for spotting this. Glad I hadn't already placed an order in the last couple of days now. :-D

Just tried going via Quidco and using the CUSTOMPC code to which it replied:

"Sorry, you can't redeem this coupon code with the items you're purchasing. This coupon is only valid for 4% off for CUSTOMPC readers. If you would like to use this coupon now, please review the conditions of the coupon and make the necessary changes to your cart."

So it would make sense to go via Quidco for the 7% cashback and forget the 4% discount from using the code imo.

Free 1GB SD card shows in basket automatically mind, nice little bonus!

Good deal! Voted hot!

However SD cards (1gb especially) are cheap these days, so don't be lured into buying the RAM if it's cheaper elsewhere. That said, Crucial do tend to be good value!
thanks for the post, been meaning to get ram for my laptop

so went for 1GB and the free SD card

used the 4% code with no problem..... and it was cheaper than most other places on the net, so can't complain!
Thanks guys!

I found the system scanner from crucial really usefull when I bought my memory as I wasnt 100% on the best my motherboard would take. It told me exactly what I could and couldnt use, saving me googling to find out!…er/
Great Find  I've just ordered 1gb DDR2 for my PC and it came in at £38.34 including delivery and FREE 1gb sd card. The 4% code works fine.:)
Thanks, I was needing to upgrade my 1GB Vista machine so I have gone for the 2GB kit (1GBx2), 240-pin DIMM* Upgrade for a Dell Dimension E520
System. Suppose I could have put in 2 separate orders for 1Gb but thought I didn't want to risk not getting a matching pair and the kit was the recommended route. The SD card was an incentive but will be useful for my camera/PDA. The 4% coupon worked and 7% Quidco so overall a good buy and just what Hotdeals is all about. Thanks again for the Heads-Up.
So let me get this right, peeps have gone to Crucial site via Quidco link (qualifying for 7% cashback) plus entered code: "CUSTOMPC" which qualified them for 4% discount plus bagged the free 1GB SD card as well? :?

was expecting to pay this price for 512mb.good deal and free delivery.voted.used to be create an account and get discounts for multiple buys.
