If you can actually get them to deliver. No chance here in the south west!

I’m in Weston-Super-Mare and it’s so cold here that my bank account has been frozen !

Clever deal, most places are not doing free delivery below £15.

Order loads of 15p sauce pots for collection as different orders.
£2 Amazon voucher it's laughable
No chance of delivery here with 40cm of lying snow (hills over Edinburgh). When I say lying, I am lying, it is being blown around.
Was posted a few days back no?
£2 pretty pathetic.

They have to make money somehow? You expect them to run a website for free?

Ditto that.
The new 50p charge for cash orders as well as credit cards means I just phone the place directly now.

They make plenty of money by charging the sellers £699 + VAT to join and charging them 14% commission on each sale too, the extra 50p charge to customers for cash orders that cost them nothing extra to process was just greedy of them.
Curiousity got the better of me and I thought I'd work out how much it costs a seller on average per order based on values directly from the Just Eat website and based on the first year of a restaurant using Just Eat.

Average of 4.9 orders per establishment a day

Average of £15 an order (average estimated)

Restaurant loses £2.10 of that in commission

Restaurant loses £1.91 a day for the first year of joining fee

Restaurant loses £0.39 on average on each £15 order

Just Eat makes £2.99 from every £15 order (includes 50p fee now charged on ALL orders)

Costs restaurants an average of £4,456 loss of their normal menu price in the first year

Just Eat makes £5350 average per establishment in their first year

I placed an order about 8 days ago when it was over £20 order; figured as was ordering may as well get the voucher but it hasn't even tracked not sure if anyone else has any issues?
What an odd deal, why can't they just offer £5 like they did previously? Giving me £2/£3 vouchers barely covers the excessive service/delivery charges added by most outlets.

Always ring now, food is cheaper and free delivery...

Isn't this assuming the restaurant makes no extra sales (or loses them to a competitor on JE) and all JE revenue is profit?

The costs were more how much it costs to be a member in comparison to just going it alone. They will probably benefit from increased exposure but my point was more to demonstrate that the 50p charge isn't solely how Just Eat make their revenue and also that it costs the restaurant quite a large percentage of their profit margins.
Found 10p dip at some chicken and chip shop, then paid the stupid 50p fee (the ban on credit card charges wasn't smart). Free £1.40 Amazon voucher, thanks OP!

Considering I'll definitely spend £1.40 at Amazon in the next 10 years (probably even in the next week), it's worth it for under 5 minutes of work - it's spare time I would have probably used just browsing HUKD anyway!

Mine tracked yesterday - just waiting for my voucher now.
Don't spend it all at once.
