Free 2 week (?) trial of ea access Xbox one

Found 25th May 2017
I had bought a 1 year sub for ea access direct from Microsoft for £19.99 13 days ago but after playing all I wanted to I cancelled and have received a full refund this morning.

I'm guessing they have a 14 day no quibble refund policy. Useful if you only want it to play through 1 game or preview mass effect and such. Or as in my case had buyer's remorse as it's pretty much just old sports titles on it, fifa 17 is decent though...

    Thats actually pretty smart
thanks for sharing. heat from me
Seems like a lot of hassle (before even getting into the moral implications) to save ~80p?

The 14 day cooling off period is to protect buyers, not for free demos.
people wonder why a lot of company's won't do something like this, can anyone blame them when their are people like this, also the more logical choice if you just wanted to try a game etc would be to buy a month than go for a year and then do something thats immoral and a grey area

Well this has gone well... OK it is slightly trampish to bother when a month sub is a couple of quid but still worth the heads up to let people know about an easy out if they changed their mind or about to change to a ps4/switch etc, rather than pay for something you literally won't use on a console you no longer own. So to that one person you're welcome!

It's only the same as people opening multiple amazon accounts to get free prime month after month. Lots of people do that and no one gives a toss.
Personally I think it's worth the subscription and I've paid for it since it started. But if I only wanted to try a single game before buying said game I would do the same.
cold, pathetic attitude towards a genuinely good value for money service.
I've done the same thing before, after wanting a refund because I could get it cheaper elsewhere. To which I did. Never mind all the haters. Good for people that they offer such a thing. Only the same as Microsoft who are soon to be offering digital refunds.

Yes mate that'd be a reasonable response. Man some of you are a judgmental bunch for a bargain hunting site.
The problem is it is NOT bargain hunting.

Well that's an opinion and you're entitled to it.
When I cancelled I fully expected to be charged for a month or have to pay something pro rata but was surprised when I got all of my payment back so thought I'd share the info and I stand by it.
I had intended on staying for the year, I probably should have properly looked at what games are in the vault first before buying though due to only really wanting fifa 17 (this ended up being sold for a tenner by CD keys shortly after, so I could have saved a tenner there).
In any case I'm sure some will use this info to trial it and if they like it then they won't have to cancel.

I think more people are likely to do research into what they're buying before blindly throwing cash away. oO

Aye perhaps I was a little hasty with that, seemed like a cracking deal what with fifa 17 bud, ah well nothing lost and it was worth a trial of it anyway.
