Not free, delivery is extra

£3.99 delivery in 14 days....

I thought everyone would have seen/heard of this by now and go far enough into it to realise it isn't completely free.

im in the print business myself

and can honestly say vista print is nonsense.

poor digital print quality. low paper stock, limited options for design, poor template designs with fact you must pay for extras which are basic requirements, and fact that a respectable delivery time costs.

stay well away from there.

that ^
cold for the deal but hot for trying, so I won't vote.

I tried them once, and as charliebrown87 says above, poor print quality, I got 250 cards and they look like they've been printed using an inkjet printer that's running out.

They're alright if you're a very small business, but if you want something a bit more professional looking, look elsewhere.

Can your company deliver 250 cards for less than £4 ?
The cards are good value for someone who is starting a small business and can't afford to outlay for expensive printing.

Is this the first time you've bought anything from Amazon?

(imo) Can your business afford not to get your cards done from somewhere other than VistaPrint.. their cards scream 'amateur' and I certainly wouldn't use them to promote any business of mine (I wouldn't cheapen the hard work I've put in with such a mediocre product).. again this is my opinion, but I also wouldn't think someone was taking their own business all that serious if they were cutting costs on such a important promotion tool.

This is a deal NOT a freebie. Where ANY money has to be handed over it ceases to be a freebie - even if it is just the postage or a stamp. Why is that so hard to understand?

They're also very handy to give to people who ask for your address, rather than having to scrabble around for a pen and piece of paper. I bought some a few years ago and still use them as I always keep some in my bag in the little metal case they provide. As you actually design them yourself you only have yourself to blame if you don't like the design or layout. I can't remember exactly how much I paid including postage but to me it was well worth it. The only problem was that for ages I kept getting spam from them but it eventually stopped.

I used to use the US vistaprint - always found them incredibly good quality, well printed, very reliable. I used to use the longest delivery method to keep costs low, so it took a long time to arrive but the advantage was cost.

That's the good side of them.

The downside - you get bombarded with spam, so it's worth using an account you don't mind about so much, or set one up. You get endless deals offering more deals and it's a pain, especially their "sorry our site was down so here' xyz"

The other main downside as mentioned above is that free isn';t free -- there's Vat, postage, packing, heaven, only, knows, what, else. I've had free calenders that cost a tenner? Maybe more. But they're good quality.

So take or leave it --- but it's still a darn sight cheaper than most printers, and still good quality. I just wish they'd be a bit more honest: I hate non free freebies.

to produce the cards vista prints 2.50 service offer, costs appx 30-40p in house as they are very basic.

if you were to do a search for eg ebay, 250 business cards with 350gsm double sides gloss can cost appx 15 pounds. and look a lot more professional. in my opinion dave is correct. this is your business and first impression is always the last impression, so spending that little extra is always important.

I agree. They may not be the best but they are amazing for THIS PRICE! Don't need them, don't want them, but thats irrelevant. Unless you can tell us where you can get this many cheaper don't vote cold! Hot!
