FREE £26.50 Benefit Kit With Elle Subscription - £18 (Possibly £14)

Found 5th May 2014
You can get a free Benefit "The Bronze Of Champions" kit (worth £26.50) when you buy a 12 month subscription to Elle Magazine, which costs £18! However if you use Quidco you can get £4 off, making it only £14.

I saw this the other day and thought it was a pretty good deal, especially if you are going were planning on buying the kit by itself (cheapest place I could find it is £22.52 at Feel Unique, after the 15% discount, however it's sold out). For a few pound less you can get the kit and 12 magazines - would make a good present! The kit includes:

- Benefit Hoola Bronzer Powder 3.0g
- Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Hoola 6.5ml
- Benefit Watt's Up! Soft Focus Highlighter for Face 2.5g
- Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Bikini-Tini 3.2g
- Benefit Longwear Powder Shadow in Thanks a Latte 1.2g
- Benefit They're Real! Beyond Mascara 3.0g

I'm planning on taking up this offer before it ends on the 4th of June, since my subscription runs out in a couple of months, and thought I would share it with everyone!

Does anyone know if you still get the magazine freebies with a subscription?

I've just signed up to Quidco- do I have to purchase the magazine via their site to get the cash back? I've gone through this process but when I find the offer, there's no mention of the free benefit kit with the subscription, as opposed to when I click the link above. Any idea's?

Normally for a specific deal with a free gift you need to do it through the given link. Unlikely you will get the gift if there was no mention of it at all in your purchase

The free gift above is a gift to entice you to buy the subscription....if you already have the subscription you will not get the gift.

I meant the free gifts you get sometimes with magazines.

Yes, if there is a gift eg a free lipstick or free book with a current issue of the magazine then that same free gift is included and will (should be!) be with your magazine when it comes through the post.

Was trying to buy this deal...
However no matter if you try to go through Quidco or TCB, it redirect you to qualitymagazines.co.uk instead of hearstmagazines.co.uk

Therefore you are not able to checkout with the basket :\
Anyone managed to work around it?

Yep, like Ellie said, you still get whatever samples/freebies that are in the normal non-subscription issue! For instance I got a free Benefit Porefessional this month

Yeah I noticed that last night. The only thing I can deduce is that they're not the same offers, through Quidco you get £4 back, through the link above you get the free kit. Perhaps the original post needs to be edited.

I'd suggest adding it to your basket through the link, then going through Quidco and it should still be in your basket! However Quidco seems to be redirecting you to Quality Magazines rather than Hearst Magazines, even though the Quidco page is for Hearst Magazines. Hopefully it will get sorted soon!

That's really odd, maybe you should email Quidco about it? I don't know if the two magazine companies are linked in any way so it may well be a glitch..

If the Quidco link were to work, you could add the subscription to your basket through the link, close the page, open Quidco and it would still be in your basket! The Quidco page specifically for Hearst Magazines definitely says that you get £4 off an Elle Subscription, but it just links you to the wrong company.

Thanks for your help both of you

Will get it on pay day I reckon. I like Elle magazine and this is a great offer

hi, can anyone confirm if the £18 comes out immediately or 12 monthly installments of £1.50 as the DD would suggest?

I believe that the £18 comes out immediately! I currently have a 12 month subscription (that started last year) and the £15 came out instantly, so I would think it will still be the same.

Just ordered mine thanks a lot,
it says in the terms and conditions that "Subscriptions may not include promotional items packaged with the magazine"
but if its something you really wanted you might be able to get it if you contact them, "we do hold small stocks off the free gifts sent out with these 2 magazines and can usually send one"

Ah right! I've always received whatever free gift is with the non-subscription version, so I guess they just say that on the off chance.

In the 'Subscription Term' it states 'First 12 Issues for £18.00 on Direct Debit. Renewing every 12 Months at £30.00 + FREE Benefit The Bronze of Champions make-up Set' - What if you don't want to renew? but want just the first 12 issues and the benefit set?

You just ring up Hearst Magazines, a month before the end of the 12 months, and say that you would like to cancel the subscription when the 12 months end!
