This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Buy a tastecard for £0. Save £79.99 today and get 50% off or 2 for 1 at over 6,000 UK Restaurants for a year!

This is a free 3 Month trial.

Then cancel at tastecard.co.uk/m/m…cel

It does say £4/month after the trial has ended but you can cancel it before the 3 months is over and it should stop the charge, and you should still keep the 3 month free trial (if it works anything like every other trial I've tried. Haven't tried this- anyone who tries this, please let me know)

Also you can get £3 back with topcashback

Go Through topcash back for a free 3 pounds also.
Yeah i would say its not worth the risk, i would previously constant use the free trials and one time they renewed it and charged me before i could cancel and then i phoned them to cancel and get my money back, they refused... after a constant over a few days battle they refunded only half the amount so ended up paying £40 for the year.... i think i only used it once- and realised i could discount via other means anyway

Very difficult to cancel. Most places listed do not accept. Cold

Christmas is coming. Check their site and you can save on those nights out.

But note quite a few place exclude December.
Never ever use these
don't ever use these guys or the card!
I’ll echo the other comments - don’t ever bother with these

Had a tastecard for 3 years and never had an issue (I get it cheap through work), use mine a few times a month and it's great. I cancel my auto renewel on the day I get the card by phoning them up (you can still use the card until the expiry date), they are always polite and always send me an email to say it has been cancelled which I keep just incase.
The app will tell you where you can use the card locally and luckily there's plenty of places near me
Such a ordeal to actually use these, then a further ordeal to cancel. Never again!
Use at beefeater all the time . Never had a problem. It is well worth it. As long as you follow the instructions of use for each venue. I.e call in advance and state taste card. The odd venue states book 24hrs in advance. But beefeater allows you to just turn up. BARGAIN
Tast this 🥦
I've had this a couple of times, unfortunately not used it as we don't go out much .
You have to put your card on but if you cancel it in time they will not take money out. I always take print screenshot but I have cancelled in time with out any problems. So this could be useful to someone who goes out a lot not for people like me who slave away- happily- cooking from scratch from our allotment.
Super easy to cancel online via this link: tastecard.co.uk/myt…cel

Also choose to pay via paypal and then delete Tastecard as an automatic payment from your paypal account as a double precaution to not get charged... easypeasy

Absolutely this, not only that there is some clause that you have to cancel some 24-48 hours or something before renewal day else they will just extend and charge you the £40...that is what happened to me...they refused to refund and I had to make a claim to get my money back through the bank which was approved.
Meerkat Meals, Gourmet Society and TasteCard are all owned by the same company. Stick to Meerkat Meals.
I have a card with 1p on. I'd suggest you guys do the same when working with the scummy guys at Tastecard.

The best thing tod o is just to cancel it as soon as you order it. This stops the auto renewal but does not terminate your current trial. Hope this helps

Not helpful at all, I had to keep it active as part of the 20cogs offers, their clause on autorenewal on the day before the actual expiry date is sneaky. There really is no need to do tastecard with compare the market offers (meerkat meals)
had a similar experience - although i asked for them to cancel it, as they advised can only do it by telephone. Called them ahead of time and the lady on the other end said they have canceled it. Did they? No. I called them once i was debited for another year and refused to refund

Most of the restaurants you can get the same deal via other methods. it's not worth it an absolute terrible
company.

Fair enough why you are against it. And honestly I won't be using it, I just noticed what looked like a decent deal and posted it - turns out it's not a good one (for most people at least), but hey thanks for the feedback. It's here if anyone actually likes using them I guess. Also happy Halloween to you all 😁
Also, pessimistic me believes that the reason you have to mention you have a tastecard before you order is so that they give you reduced portions.

I've had absolutely no issues cancelling any trials I've had with tastecard over the last 5 years or more. I also received tcb for the last one I took out.

Thanks OP got one for my Dad although he'll probably struggle as it's an app rather than a plastic card.
