Seems a good deal?

I was looking to get a new Sky box as the current one is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Very tempted by this. Seems worth it for the TV alone.

I think the TV is an LG 32LF510

Includes free set up.

Sounds very good to me.haven't got Sky but would be taking this if I did.

wonder what model it is, for £249 I would expect a smart 32" tv
Still not a bad deal

A no brainer if you need a new TV and have Sky.

That is ridiculous! I currently have a full Sky HD+ box in my bedroom but got multi room removed months ago as was considering taking out Sky Q. But might just take this and grab a free TV out of it and Sky Go Extra.

Stonking deal for existing customers.

Looks like im getting sky in the bedroom!!! Smoking hot from me!!!

I'm tempted but will this place me in a 12 month contract again as mine due for renewal soon

most probably but if you have 31 days left put in your cancelation, get 50-60% off and take this up as long as it doesn't remove your other deal

More talking may time but thanks

Shame this is limited to first time multi room subscribers. I was logged into my sky today pricing up how much a new multi room sub with recording box would cost for a conservatory when its built and was surprised the cost would only be £60 installation charge and the recording box was free. Being a long term customer with an existing multiroom sub had expected this to be more like £200.

I already have multi room set up in one of my rooms but it has allowed me to take this offer up on a 2nd room. brilliant bargain.

Great thinking that.

When they were doing this deal last time, the Tv was just bog standard with no Full HD or Smart function.

Well, the last subscription that had multi room was under my name which ended in August. This subscription is under the Mrs name so fortunately I hope we'll be eligible. I'll check it out later, but like playing this game with Sky! Ha!!

Just checked. Definitely eligible to upgrade me. TV is very basic, this is the model below.

In laws got this just before Christmas - note this is the basic Multiroom box, i.e. No recording function. TV is quite fat by current standards.

But for them it was a good deal, tv alone is worth the 130.

Saw another offer for free Galaxy tab E with upgrade to family bundle with £30 cash back, looks like freebies is Sky's new sales tactic.

isn't most sky 1080p content pumped out at 1080i anyway? for me Q is currently a gimmick, as i get older i have realised early adoption of "new" stuff isn't always the best thing to do

anyway to get rid of the £49 one off cost for the box ??

This will replace other deals. I currently have had 60% off for the last 3 years. Good if you want a TV. Multiroom costs me £60 a year though.

Sky makes it's money by tying you in to a new 12 month contract. You agree to continue paying your existing (first box + sub) fees, plus the additional £11.25pm. You get a new bottom-of-th-range 32" TV plus a ~£30 to build HD box.£1000 for another year's service. They retain their customers for a negligible cost.

My £17 contract is due to end soon, going up to £50+. Well they can stick that. If they don't keep me on at least my current simple deal (b/b, line rental, PAYT, entertainment and box sets) then I'm off and I'll just use the NOWTV boxes I've just bought.

No it's still available but you need to pay a 1off £49 fee for the box? I've been on live chat an because I've had multiroom in the last 12 months I would after pay the £49

lol 17 quid most packages with any company will cost at least £30 for telephone tv broadband etc...

Literally just switched to Virgin because Sky didn't offer me anything! gutted!
Well done, take the deal and run.

I did this 6 months ago. I got a samsung hotel tele.... which they could replace it with as I agreed to under point 147.4 in the terms and conditions. it's worth about 50 quid and has a hdmi input and thats pretty much it. for what it's worth its in the boiler cupboard in the kitchen.

Oh and it didn't remove my current deal of 70% discount...

Does the basic Sky Box have analogue audio out?

You didn't try hard enough, they give everyone a discount you just need to know how to play the game. Plenty on here and moneysavingexpert about what you need to do.

Only benefits for me were record 4 channels at once and the multi room option.

I'm in a flat and can't have normal multi room. I'm currently on a 60% discount so no way I'm giving that up

Signed up for this deal earlier
In the process of removing sky movies so this will replace it and still be a bit cheaper

Also I'm needing a new tv for my bedroom so a good deal for me.

My discount didn't appear to be removed when I got to checkout and saw new monthly total

Can you post the link? I couldn't find it.

VERY interesting, how come this appeared in my activity alerts (a post from Sky Digital)?

Only if you are a mug like I (and you) was.... just cancel and get 50% off and then get this.... typing this on my free samsung tab e for "upgrading" (downgraded then upgraded online) family. Play at their own game.

Forget what the sales terms say. If you are in a rolling contract give your cancellation (it doesn't go as far) and demand a 2TB box - you can get one. You need an advisor who needs to keep someone.
