Free 3G Mobile Sim Card

We'll send you a free SIM, plus an extra one to give to a mate - so you can both benefit from free calls to each other. The more people you tell about this great offer, the more people you can talk to for free...

FREE CALLS FOREVER

Already got a 3 mobile?
Just put your free SIM into a 3 mobile to make free Skype-to-Skype calls & send free instant messages, forever. There's no need to top up ever again.

FREE TEXTS & INTERNET WITH EVERY TOP UP

Got a 3G mobile on another network?
Put your free SIM into any unlocked 3G mobile and every time you top up you get all this free stuff, straight away. It lasts for 90 days (unless of course you use it all up before then) and next time you top up you get it all over again.

Should change the title to "Free 3 mobile sim card"

if i put the sim in an unlocked 3g compatible mobile - do i just need to download the 'skype mobile' software and it'll all work gravy?

I have one of these sim cards, 3 are very specific as to which phones actually work with their free Skype service.

Didn't work on my phone which runs Windows Mobile.

Thanks

3's 3G coverage is terrible - check reception first!!

3G's ok in my area, but my phone is a Windows Mobile... Although they say "Available soon on 3G mobiles that weren’t bought from 3".
Hot still.

you can get skype for 3 from Planet Three (3's wap site) to be honest the skype is a bit of a gimmick unless you ring people's pcs or people abroad, a proper SIP client like voipcheap is far better and uses wifi

Something for nothing so you can't lose

Just so i've got this right....

If I put this free sim card in a phone and top it up with £10 then I get free "unlimited" mobile internet and free "unlimited" texts for 3 months.....

So if I don't make any calls to use the credit up then £40 a year will get me free internet and free texts for the year?

Where's the catch?

Second question, will this sim work in any 3G phone that is unlocked - i.e. I currently have the Nokia 6210 Navigator?

i ordered these a while back. The 'free calls forever' is a bit of a lie. You get free internet and skype for 3 months after you top up, after that it eats in to your credit. So really its 'free calls forever'* *(as long as you top up every three months or so). This wouldn't be a problem if its your main phone (which it wouldn't be for me), but like a previous reply stated - you also have to be careful what phones can do skype, mine can't.

Ignore my last post, I now understand that it is far from "unlimited" internet and texts... thought it was too good to be true.

It is actually the one after yours that needs ignored - I believe 3 clearly state that no top up is required to use skype - check their site as I think you are being misled.

I will never ever go with 3 in my life even if they pay me to use the phone..

Terrible reception and even worse customer support..

If you have a Nokia, you can download FREE voip software from the Ovi store.
This gives you free calls over the internet to other voip users. Iskoot (for example) lets you call Skype people for free from Nokia phones, regardless of which network you are on - however data charges may apply, depending on your call package.

Can someone CLEARLY define this deal

^ I'm confused too!

It's very confusing and sometimes msileading terminology from 3...

I've been looking into using 3 for Skype recently and as I understand it (may well be wrong on some points) :

The 'Free calls' are only if using Skype to Skype (I'm not sure if there are restrictions on Skypeout and SkypeIn, which are services you buy from Skype to call regular landlines or mobiles).

You need a specific type of mobile, like the "3" Skype WP-S1 or S2, or an unlocked Skype capable mobile to use Skype on the 3 network (see the Skype website).

The 3 Skype mobiles use the 3 mobile network for Skype access (rather than WiFi) using 3's own Skype gateways.

The 3 mobile network restricts making (or receiving?) international Skype calls. I think there's a 'way around' this using multiple Skype accounts and forwarding.

You can't use Skype on the 3G network when abroad.

Hopefully someone will correct any mistakes and I haven't confused things more! :?

Skype works on all the fones that 3 sell.
you can make international skype calls to other skype users free.
if you wanna call a landline or mobile from skype all you need is skype credit.

Do any cashback sites carry this offer?

Cheers

Ordered these before in the past and they didn't turn up.

Also remember anyone thinking of joining 3Three just because you might get a 3G signal in your area on one network, say O2 or Voda, doesn't always mean you'll get one on 3Three.

thanks :-)
