🤔 I've got a CC ultra and had no idea Google movies had 4K movies

Original Poster

Don't think it has officially rolled out. On the play store there was Passengers, the Shallows, Trainspotting 2, Life, Taxi Driver and a load of Smurf Movies. I went back and checked and they can be bought or rented in UHD.

Link didnt work for me, just went to the Sony site

Checked select and only thing is for ratuken

I had nothing on the Sony select app. Went in to google play via the tv and the offer was there. I have a Sony A1.

didn't know any streaming services in the UK done 4k rentals

Not on my x8305

I have the choice now on some films for UHD but unfortunately no freebie in Sony select

Amazon do, and if you have Prime, most of the Amazon Originals are available in 4K (thing the Grand Tour, Man in the High Castle, etc). Netflix have stuff as well, but you need to be on the most expensive tier to get them (which is in the process of going up in price to £9.99 a month).

Yeah I redeemed this yesterday on my XE9305 65 inch, most of the films I have seen before, was gonna go for taxi driver 4k but watched it for the first time in years a few months ago and apparently its doesnt look much better than the 1080p version so I went with Captain Phillips instead, I always check google play and rakuten as they have 0.99p offers from time to time, watched Wonder Woman the other day for 99p

Again - Amazon allow rental of 4K movies - now, they may not be as new as you're meaning, but they will be relatively new to the format.

THanks for the heads up. Just redeemed mine on my 9005.

"Open to participants who purchase and activate an eligible Sony Bravia 2017 Android TV" blah blah "Redeem on Google Play Movies and TV App on an eligibile Sony Bravia 2017 Android TV between October 25 2017 and December 31 2018. Use by February 28 2019. Limit 1 per google account. Valid in UK only."

I had nothing in the Sony Select app btw, but it was there in the Google Play Video.

Was going to get Underworld (which was on the list) but wasn't even available in 4k lol so went for another one which was

link doesn't work

I only get the option to pay, keeps asking for my credit card. Am I missing a trick here? It clearly says redeem your 4K-UHD Movie?

Same here only get the option to pay but it does say redeem your 4K-UHD Movie 🤔

It takes off the amount just as you are about to confirm paymet I think you need to enter your card details

Anyway to get it for 2015 TV's?
