OP, If you consider this bullying, you've lead a very sheltered life!

Seriously, I haven't seen a milkman in years, maybe it's a northern thing? I actually voted your deal hot, but I'm voting your sanity unproven! :w00t:

Calm down. It wasn't a dig at your post merely an observational fact that milkmen still exist.

I have'nt seen a milkman for years either and these dont deliver to me, so TrickyJabs has a valid point

Im not a northerner, but we have a milkman in our area,

Good find and its our Milky Milkyman too so will definatly use the code.

I used to love that you got milk delivered something about the glass bottles ...that was until the birds got it into piercing the silver foil and having to leave the plastic caps out for the milk boys to remember to put on them securely.

Admittedly i thought the milkmen were pretty much a thing of the past. Nice to see some traditions aint totally died off.

Voted hot but don't deliver to my area

58p for a pint of milk not worth it's cold for me
4 pints at the supermarket for £1.20 or Iceland for a £1

I think it nice to see milkmen still DO exist, but £1 from iceland for 4 pints cannot be beaten! Milkmen are an expensive luxury like having your paper delivered!

we live in the north west and have always had a milkman and it isn't that expensive i get a 2 liter gallon for £1.40 local supermarket price is £1.32 so not that much diffrence if you have milk an eggs waiting for you on a cold winter mornin.:)
they must charge extortionate prices if the charging 58p a pint.

I thought is what a time of austerity ... that's a big word for the morning! :-D

£2.10 for a 4pinter. I think I will refrain from ordering.

No wonder theres not many milk men left, at those prices they all retired years ago and are now living it up in the bahamas

Bit expensive bit handy to know it delivers in my area

I've been using them for 6 months now and it's so handy. a little expensive but the goods are always on the door before breakfast

Many thanks for posting a great deal!
Never knew this existed, so will give it a try. Prices are a little more expensive than my local shop but it's good to know that I can have milk ready for breakfast in the mornings!

Thye cost of the milk dilivered by the milk man is the true cost!!

suppermarkets use milk and bread and some othert everyday items as loss leaders - they are prepaired to sell them at a loss to get you through the door.

I have always had my milk dilived and yes it costs more, but it supports a local busness employing local ppl, why is life all about greed?

Remmember when you had a good chioce of shops where the ppl who worked there knew you? I do as a kid our local shops offered real service, I do use the suppermarkets but I also use the local farm store and local veg shop even tho i may have been to a suppermarket that day.

Are we realy all so poor or greedy that we can not support local bussness?

O and when i was on holl last year at the same time as my neghburs ny milk man put our empty bins back up the drive so ppl did not know we were away doubt anyone from tesco, asda...... would be prepaired to pop round and do that for me

I agree about not realising we have milkmen still.

The one that used to wake me up at 4 in the morning with his noisy electric float, no longer does so, and has not done so for at least a year.

I did not think many still managed to earn a living delivering overpriced items to bake in the sun and go off, while you are at work, or destroy your healing REM sleep at 0400 with their noisy delivery, if you are actually lucky enough to get it early enough to take in before going to work.

As to the comment about not being allowed to make specious comments, I side with Trickyjabs here.

I would not like any of my sarcsastic jabs at life in general, to be taken as bullying either, to say it is, would be an insult.

We used to support our local milkman but the deliveries got later and later. Dad is out before 8am every day and the milk wasnt coming until after 9am!

Nothing to do with prices, just timing that stopped us having a milkman

 wow, i'm amazed:

Bit concerned about signing up myself, as seems as though it's not just a one off and a regular order?

I am wondering if i can get milk 3 days a week for 3 weeks and then just cancel (so pay 22p for the 3 weeks)? Anyone know anything i used the voucher and it says £5 off first bill so dont seem a problem?
