Yeah but they also charge £4.99 for collection, as if people didn't hate Game enough already!
Trying to entice customers back after robbing them with their delivery charge No thanks Game

Or they did last time i used it. That's explains a delivery charge I guess but still never worth it.

Whole point of click and collect is so they dont have to spend money sending it to you, not charge the customer for there logistics!

Pre-orders don't have a charge, everything else is £4.99.

They changed to align with the SportsDirect model back in March.
England only needs to go in title

lol, what is the point then.

Why the heck do you have to pay to pick up from store?.

Forget it Game. This deal may just backfire spectacularly for them as people get wind of this..

I've gone else where after wanting to pre-order TLOU2 and completely been ignored by them on a question, games are too high on price but thanks to OP for sharing this.

Nah, it's just exactly the same BS that Sports Direct pull, it's their standard rip-off practice.

It was a couple years ago now, I can't remember which game but when i went to collect it was in a cardboard envelope with the stores address in. It had just been posted, not even shipped on a delivery. They could well have changed it since. Pretty sure it was free at the time as well.
whats the point of having a 5 pound voucher if they charge 5 pounds

Giving with 1 and taking with the other is not "something back"

As i said whole point of click and collect is so they save money not paying for post age to you! I dont care if they have to get it sent down from a warehouse to the shop - thats there logistics!?

Using that logic they could charge you for that on every item in store! What next? Ship from warehouse to our shop tax? Extra £4.99 "we had to get it from the warehouse somehow"

(yeah thats real extreme i know!)

Mike Ashley (owner of Sports Direct) also owns Game, as he bought them when they went into administration. No wonder he's applying the scummy models to Game too.

So your telling me, 1p is really worth this offer?

If they worded this "offer" as " Free Click and collect & get 1p off you order! " - Thats not an offer, esp when the shops been shut for 3 months

Whats Tesco and Tesco delivery got to do with this offer?

Are we even talking about this offer or about how you don't like ques?

Amazon/Prime now.

Fair play if you think 1p off your order is a good deal!

If it was £5 voucher with free click and collect this would of been a scorcher

(not a clue what this voucher has to do with ques either highstreet shops only been open 2 days!! )

Well that’s mike Ashley for you.
Ahahahahahaaa! I can't believe they charge 4.99 for collection. I love to meet the marketing PR genius behind this move. All those companies mentioned above failed because they did not adapt with the times You can't thrive in a digital world when you still work on paper. Unfortunately I don't think game have that long left unless they adapt to a better business model.

Exactly surely they’d deliver it for a similar fee
Or go elsewhere and save more
Here's an idea, free click and collect as before at Game and items £5 cheaper than the usual prices.
The only retailer I wish that would die off and stay dead
It amazes me that Game are still trading. They have such a bad reputation, I don't know anyone that actually buys anything from them.

I guess they are kept afloat from clueless parents and grandparents who don't know about a little thing called the internet.

Why would you pay £4.99 to click and collect, when you can just go in the store and ask them to get whatever it is you want, for free? Mad.

As this post has proven, some people actually like it and appreciate something is better than nothing (1p)
I can't believe the Game stores is still running. Very over priced and poor customer service. No wonder people are looking elsewhere.
ROFL; Fiver to collect! I don't think they will be around this time next year. Caution when pre ordering expensive new consoles with this company

It's most likely to end up not saving 1p either. Unless you can get to said store for free to collect, then you'd actually end up losing money on this deal.
