Gift cards are excluded aren't they, b*tches?

Does spending a gift card towards the £50 make you ineligible for the £5 voucher?
Yes, time to buy 5 items for £500 then return them. Free £50 vouchers 😁
And I just spent a few hundred pounds on Argos yesterday too. Grrrrrr

They do instore paying cash or card, but pay online for fast track collection and they email the voucher to you, then return items and use vouchers after. Worked for me the last time

Thank you I only use fast track anyway. May not have time to do all orders given that this promotion is so short in length to compete with Prime Day.

I bought some Xbox gift cards last week with this £5 gift card and more Argos gift cards I’d redeemed from Quidco
Edited by: "ariprotheroe" 15th Jul
So basically 10% off.

Kindest regards

Only if you spend exactly £50 or £100. So in effect "up to" 10% off.

I was correcting somebody's typo, which has since been removed.

For the record-You can buy Xbox vouchers with the Argos Gift card. The point I was reinforcing was that you can't purchase a £50 Argos Gift card to receive a free £5.
However if you already own a £50 gift card and purchase something with it during the valid period, then you will receive the £5 freebie.

Just checked the T&Cs, check term 21:
“If all or some of the product(s) are returned under the Argos 30-day money back guarantee, thereby reducing the value of the original transaction to a) less than £50 (in respect of transactions between £50-£99.99) or b) less than £100 (in respect of transactions over £100 or more), the free vouchers must be returned. If the voucher is not returned, the voucher amount will be deducted from the money refunded.”

No problem, ive ordered a tent and camping beds in separate orders from one store then a tent and camping chair/lamp from another store. That'll get me £40 just for driving 2 miles and 2 miles again to return them the day after when ive decided to book a caravan instead
Spent £50 in-store today, never got a voucher
Been happening for years and years. Just because somebody new posts it doesn't make it new. Voted cold.
The voucher is only valid for a month be careful they never told me this and i lost it

yep thats a con cos if you buy an agos voucher they last a hell of a lot longer, these should be the same, but thats just my view
If I return part of a fast track order, the store starts to hunt down for the voucher offer in my email to deduct!
People still shop at Argos ?
If I use a gift card to pay for my order, I wouldnt be eligible for the voucher is it?
Thought this had been going on for years?
SAVE 50 AND DONT SPEND IT ON THINGS YOU DONT NEED

Unbelievably they ask to see ALL emails related to the order but what they want is the email receipt and ask me to scroll down on my phone so they can look for a part at the bottom of that email that says I should expect another email with a voucher (image below from another order). She tried so hard that day but couldn’t find it because I didn’t qualify for some reason (used promo credit online I think). This is the Metrocentre store in Gateshead and they hate refunding anything even if it’s faulty.

I dont see what they are trying to achieve, even if it says you will get a voucher they can't deduct the voucher amount from your refund unless they can prove you have spent the voucher.
I just buy items return them and spend the vouchers afterwards with no problem, done it three times now in different stores and they've never mentioned the voucher

You can always screenshot the email or copy the details and put it somewhere else. If they delete it, you still have the information.
