I just received this email from Pandora

We would like to formally announce that due to a discrepancy between the Danish and UK prices and the mistaken publication of the Family Ties Charm as a UK Limited Edition, customers who purchased this charm in the UK are eligible for compensation.

If you have purchased either the silver (790487E09) or gold (750457) Family Ties charm from a UK PANDORA retailer and wish to receive compensation please return the charm to any PANDORA store (Concept stores only) where you have the following options:

If you no longer want your charm, please return it and it will be immediately exchanged for gift vouchers for the original RRP of the charm (£150 silver, £550 gold), plus a goodwill gift voucher worth £50.

If you want to keep your charm, please still hand in your charm in where it will be safely held until 2nd April 2012. You will immediately receive a gift voucher worth the difference between the Danish and UK RRP of the charm. When you collect your charm you will also receive a goodwill gift voucher of £50. We are holding these charms until the end of the compensation period to avoid any customer claiming compensation twice.

(790487EN09) Silver Charm price difference +
goodwill gift voucher amount: £128 + £50

(750457) Gold Charm price difference +
goodwill gift voucher amount: £326 + £50

For overseas customers, please contact the UK Customer Services department by email where we will look at each case individually. Write to info-uk@pandora.net and please use the subject line Family Ties charm so our team can answer the emails more efficiently.

so anyone who paid £150 for a silver charm worth £22 will get the difference back (128) + an extra £50

I'd call that a tax on the easily impressed :-)
What.... Deal?
not sure i have the charm so what do i do
as i read it if you want to keep the charm you just get a £50.00 gift voucher, not sure though 100% ill ring them in the morning as i have the charm myself.
I think if you have the charm you give it to them and get the difference in price plus a £50 voucher and they give you the charm back after the 2nd April so you don't try different branches to get more than one payment or you can get a full refund and a £50 voucher

Agreed, what is the deal here?
i have just had the phone call from Pandora and they said people were over charged by £130.00 so you have to take it back to Pandora and if you want to keep it they will give you £130.00 + £50.00 or if you want to give it back to them , you can have £150.00 + £50.00. But you have to have it back in Pandora vouchers even though you paid in cash. I dont think it is right that they are makeing you have it back in vouchers as either way they are winning and still keeping your money. Does anyone else feel the same as me as i may even ring trading standards to see what they say.
