Free 5gb data boost on your EE mobile plan when you take out home broadband

I'm sure this will have been posted before but no harm doing again.

Simple as it sounds, take out a home broadband plan with EE and if you have a mobile contract you get a 5gb boost added to your mobile account every month which is apparently worth £12.99. Suits me as I dont make many calls or texts so can get away with a lower contract and never go over on data.

This is going to change everything.
This has been the same for the last 2 years.....ironically my 4GEE MAX is much faster than my broadband!!

Yeah i'm nearing the end of my contract so have been looking at my options. Thought no harm in putting out a reminder. So many empty deals put about by broadband companies that the genuinely useful ones need bringing to the front.
I dont think im going to get anything anywhere near better than this with being an EE mobile customer. Will give them a bell see what they can do.
You need to get on the fibre really I think to see the difference now, I get 70 mbps up and 20 down much of the time which is worth paying for. My bog standard 4g is as fast as my dads non fibre broadband also.

This has been available for a long time, used to be 10Gb.
The home broadband deals don't seem to be too competitive, if I am honest. Fibre Plus looks okay at £31pm when factoring in the additional data, but the Vodafone deals seems much better?
Don't join these guys!! I left talktalk for these guys and everything was good apart from the new price. EE cold called me once i checked on their website for prices etc and said we are the best bb out there and won Which.co.uk awards. When i joined ee and did a bit of research i realised it was actully their mobile data which won the awards.
Anyway since the day i joined them after leaving talktalk the phone was crackling all way through on calls. My internet drops every hour meaning i lose connection. I rang again and again and even retentions team failed to ring me (3 promised calls) because i wanted a call package.
Engineer was booked but he failed to turn up, he was booked again last week and apparently he wasn't fully equipped so he couldn't come to my house! Now its the 1st of Jan and im still waiting. I have delt with many engineers in the past years with virgin, Bt and talk talk and they never had any excuse like these cons do. Ok they offered me £30 last week and £30 this week so thats a win win in a way but the frustration it causes isn't on.

Luckily iv moved to Vodafone bb and got fibre cheaper than EE.

Yeah agreed, the data is the key factor. If it means you can knock a tenner off your mobile contract its a very worthwhile option. I'm out in the sticks so its EE or O2 here really, the only reason we've got fibre is because Tesco paid for it so they could build a supermarket.

These companies are all as bad as each other tbh, once they have you in the net. I left Talk talk a few years ago as the customer service was shocking and have been happy enough with EE. I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find a mass of complaints about Bt, o2, Vodaphone, Sky etc etc.

The phone line issue + engineer was probably BT btw as they just rent wholesale from them. Ive had a couple of call outs over the years and both were BT.

I have Fibre with EE which generally sits at 35mbps download and 10mbps upload....the screen shot is my 4G data speed from EE on the Max plan

But we do get a good deal with EE and have the TV @ £3 a month as we had it when it launched it’s now £8 per month.

I wouldnt get that around here. 4g is scraping it ok this side of town but certainly no Max coverage I dont think. No point anyway, most of my usage is at home.
Does this only work if you're mobile is also with ee? Also what if I have payg?
I have sky fibre unlimited 40mbps+line no TV and I pay £70 for they year and have laid similar price last year

5gb works only with pay monthly customers not payg
This is a bit of Free '6 months Apple Music' for EE monthly customers type of 'deal'.

Fair play to OP, best intentions and all than.

But if you take a step back, this isn't really worth it tbh.

If the person taking out the contract is not on EE mobile pay monthly then another number can be used and worked for me. My mate put my EE pay monthly number in as he has a Tesco PAYG phone. About 30 days later I got 5GB added to my 4GB allowance so I now have 9GB per month and still have it after four months. When he spoke to EE beforehand they confirmed it should work. He also got £99 tcb at the time for an eighteen month contract.

Purely depends what you are after tbh. Wont be a deal for everyone but for EE customers that have internet elsewhere its an option. The Apple music doesnt interest me but this I use every month. EE are the best mobile network around here and EE are pretty much identical to all the others. Should also say the Tv is pretty decent, 1tb or so storage, ive got loads on it. Now tv built in etc.
