Buy the Fitbit HR Charge, Moto 360 (2nd Gen), Samsung Gear S2 or Garmin Vivosmart HR, and get a six month PureGym membership for free.

Seems like a good deal to me? I would be seriously tempted if there was a PureGym near me.

The PureGym site states that memberships start from £9.99 a month, so you're saving at least £59.94 on the cost of a gym membership.

The Fitbit HR Charge appears to be the cheapest tracker in the range at £99.99

Hope it's beneficial for someone.

Puregym membership needs to be claimed by April 30th

What's a gym?
PureGym
I just spotted this and tried to find out if you can add the 6 months on to your existing pure gym membership but they were useless and couldn't tell me. I've now messaged them on Facebook and I might ring pure gym tomorrow.

If anyone interested in this and is near an o2 store can you go in and ask. I would but there isn't an o2 store in my local town I work!
Sorely tempted to get this; according to the PureGym site, memberships in London are at least £25pm in my area. oO
Thought whole point buying fitness tracker was so didn't need to go to the gym given most of newer gym equipment ( bikes/treadmills) have built in monitors ???
Saw today in newspaper, I wonder if gym comes with 12 months contract or more? Puregym is central London starts from £29.99 and no contracts.

Didn't by chance read the terms at the bottom?

No contract with Pure Gym just the usual months notice so if you were to sign up normally then it would be minimum 2 months you would have to pay.

When you go to the gym most of the equipment has been broken by people who don't know how to use it and with your own tracker it's kept in a fitness log for you and more 'round the clock'.

A gym is where you pay to sweat!
Tried it out...
Free returns if it doesn't work out
Would also be interested to know if this extends the pure gym membership as mine's about to go up to £15.99 a month. I assume you have to pay a new joining fee as well?
I hope it does, I've been a Pure Gym member for nearly 4 years.
Here's the actual link for anyone looking:

Is the fitbit charge really worth that kind of money? The Xiaomi miband 2 pretty much does the same thing for 10 quid doesn't it?

The terms on the o2 website doesn't say anything about exisiting puregym members but does say this, so might be worth a pop:

The closing date for the Offer is 31st March 2016 and for claiming your free gift is 30th April 2016. Customers must redeem their free membership by calling Pure Gym Member services 0344 477 0005 and supplying the code on the back of the Voucher provided with your Eligible Device.

Bit of a chore but cancel your membership (just cancel the DD). Buy this and renew. Should be that simple right?

Just got off the phone with PureGym. The customer advisor said that you can indeed apply the 6 months free voucher to exisiting memberships. Just call up with the code O2 give you when purchasing the band and they will apply it to your account. The PureGYm advisor also said it didn't matter which gym you already had membership with.

Actually if you stop your DD 2 days before it's due you maximise your membership and my contract doesn't have a months notice attached.

BEWARE:- the day you stop your DD they will turn your access code off

I have both.

I'm not sure why the FitBit Charge HR gets slated for having a bad heart rate monitor. I wear mine to the gym, and it is usually 1-2 beats out of sync with the machine. I find it very accurate personally. I got it for £50, but it's certainly worth £99.

The Mi Band 2 is not in the same league. No continuous heart rate monitoring makes it sort of useless. The step count is also fairly inaccurate.

I may have read somewhere once that the heart rate can only be interrogated on demand, and doesn't track it - I tried to find a link to share this with you but couldn't, so they may have updated things....

Cheers saves me a trip to ask at my local at lunchtime
Thanks sent to daughter!
This deal is crazy hot.

£99.99 for the fitbit (I don't run or do any pedometer sports), resale value would be near the same. PureGym near me is 16.99 (£101.94) effectively making the fitbit free.
Garmin vivosmart or Fitbit Charge HR? which is better?

Garmin vivosmart or Fitbit Charge HR? which is better?

Garmin is water proof and has better smart watch notification such as reading texts. Fitbit is alot more subtle and better desgin. Also belive the fitbit has a much better dashboard for stats and what they actually mean along great customer service.

Plenty of comparisons out there if you google Vs
