I use Windscribe coming from Cyberghost and it (Windscribe) is brilliant. It works for torrents, no restrictions on sites and speed is so quick I basically don't notice (which as a compliment is about as good as it gets). Never had connection problems (unlike Cyberghost where they blamed me), they have Windows, Chrome, iOS and Android apps/extensions and most importantly you can sign in on any number of machines at once - Cyberghost made me sign out each time and if I forgot I couldn't use it.

As someone else said, iPlayer seems to block any VPN so you really need to leave a PC running and setup your own proxy or similar is all I can think of.

I'm using the Pro version courtesy of Humble Bundle. I will test apps on it if people ask (e.g. Channel 4, iPlayer, etc) so at least you know before jumping in.

interesting.. I've got a lifetime sub to VPN unlimited but if this is a freebie it'll be a handy spare I suppose - even if it's a limited offer

#edit

just signed up with the code and validated email and everything seems fine

I'm not very clued up on the whole VPN thing so forgive dumb question: Would this mean I can watch catch up when I'm in Greece for example?
Already had a 50Gb, now have a 60Gb too on my google account. Thanks
The 60 GB might only be for 1 year.

in principle... YES - you would simply connect from eg Greece using the pretend UK address.

however, BBC iPlayer is more fussy than most, and depending on how cunning/secure the VPN is, the iPlayer page might suss you out as connecting from non-UK, and not allow it.

Thanks. I was thinking more channel 4 and now tv really. Reading the faqs it seems to say you can only do the UK IP address through the router not the PC. I use a 3 data card in a mifi when I'm in Greece. Would this work?

Is this windows only or is there an Android app too?

How do you get the 60gb free?

read the deal post ..
Hot. Already had this since December 2016 but don't use it much. Upgraded my 15GB free to 60GB now.

Thanks!
Just signed up for this. I’ve wanted to try a VPN for a while and this seems like a good way to try.

fast.com tells me I’m losing. 24Mbit passing through the UK VPN on my iPad but we’ll see how it goes.

hanks and heated
Cheers OP
How reliable is this for speed? I use PIA mostly c and that manages line speed for torrents most of the time.
Opera browser has a built in VPN ......do we still need an external VPN?

There is an android app, but it doesn't work with a free account.
ZenMate is totally free
does the free Windscribe offer a reasonable torrent connection? My humblebundle "deal" for speedify VPN 1 year was terrible as the only server usable for torrents was unusably slow
Cyberghost is free as well, had no issues so far.
Top job

I have been using this for torrents since I got the 50gig code last year.

Works perfect sometimes have 6 downloading at once.
Most countries on there seem to be under the premium offer which isn't free ofcourse?

Can I use this vpn on my tplink router so I can use on all devices?

Also how the Android app anyone used it going to download it soon.
Does anyone know if you can use this with openvpn? When I go to the page to get the configuration for openvpn I don't get an option to 'generate credentials' and instead there's a nice "upgrade" button.
Could be useful for Premier League football especially if they keep on blocking the streams.
Just signed up and installed onto my mac and browser. I've genuinely no idea what a VPN does or is, but I've been told I need one. How do I get this to work on my fire stick so I can stream football etc.?

There is an android app, but it doesn't work with a free account.

The official Windscribe android app was released a few weeks ago and this does work with free accounts.
The old version required use of an Android openvpn app and a premium account.

Any usage outside of their own apps requires a premium account.

Reset your 60gb for next month?? Can this run on a firestick?
^ Resets usage back to 60GB, every month on the 18th for you.
For android you need Pro accounts on open vpn or ikev2... So can't even get credentials for putting the VPN on
Working on iOS for me.
What ever vpn you use, make sure you understand how it works, I believe Windscribe does not vpn all the traffic by default.
use this tool to check - the torrent checker is especially helpful, so i'm told!
ipleak.net/
Worked for me, thanks

Thanks! I'll install it in a VM as I don't like installing this kind of software on my main OS.

Can someone confirm this as when I looked it said pro only. Thought about openvpn but people say canmot do that. I currently pay for torguard but doubt I use 60gb!
i've got libreelec installed on my android box and this doesn't work with the VPN add-on i have, so i doubt i'll use it that much but i'll try and use it enough on my PC just so it doesn't get closed for inactivity or anything like that.
Thanks
