Hi @obiwan11

Have you had any issues with Curve? I am interested in the idea but when it was first introduced it seemed to be plagued with issues, double charging, app problems etc. I decided not to join back then but hopefully most of these issues are resolved. I see the app still has a lot of 1* reviews. What's your experience been like? Thanks
How does the contactless work if you have all your cards linked to it? Like which one gets charged? Or am i understanding wrong?
Is this just for new customers?
similar to the revolut card , at present they are offering £7 free for new sign ups.

referrals only, but if you want the link, PM me.

You select the card you want to be linked at that time to your Curve card via the app.

There is also a Time Machine option so you can reverse a transaction and apply it to a different card if you have more than 1
new customers only yeh, but i have got all my family signed up, haha

Ah okay that makes sense then. Sounds like quite a good thing. Would free up 4 card from my wallet. Cheers for clarifying.

Just add a revolut card to it or pre paid card for the 8 quid

Don't have any of those.

That's a good idea.

So where does the £8 go when you receive it, does the curve act like a pre paid card as well with a balance?

Yeah it has its own balance which is the first 'card' in the app labelled cash. This is where the promo money and any cashback goes, you would then just select that to use for the purchase
I had many inconveniences when I was traveling by bus.
Is there much difference with this and the Starling Card?
I’ve been using Curve for a couple of months now with no issues at all.

I’ve linked a Monzo, Revolut, and Capital One credit card and they all work fine.

Switch the payment card in the app and use the curve card to pay. The set payment card will be charged for the transaction. You can also transfer the transaction to another payment card if you feel you’ve used the wrong card.

Samsung pay also works fine with curve card.

Nothing recently and I use it on the daily. Google pay is perfect, means I can use cards that doesn't support G pay. App has been improved a lot since. I'd totally try it again.

I haven't tried using at petrol station pump recently.
Free money nice deal thanks!

Both parties get £5 according to the app
Signed up. Like the idea of this. Cheers OP. Shame the Metal card is 19.99 a month or whatever it is. I don't want the benefit i just want a swanky card.
Any way to get the metal card without the benefits?

But do they still get the £8 on this deal?
custardy12/02/2020 11:47

No you can only use one code when signing up i think, Obviously the £8 is a better deal but if you have a friend with the app then you could both benefit from it.
Information in deal conflicts with what the website says.

Deal says you get £8 off your first purchase.

However website says "once you make your first purchase with your Curve card, you’ll earn your £8!"

That implies you only get it AFTER you make your first purchase.
Yeah I signed up and today my card arrived and there's no 8 quid.

Do you have to spend so much to get the £8 or can be be any amount.

Your Curve card will be posted out for free. Once you make your first purchase with your Curve card, you’ll earn your £8! This code is valid until the 6th of June 2020.

Because I came to look at a deal, ask questions, and comment on it...

Same as everyone else...
Registered my card and used it with no problems this morning. There's no £8 credit though as yet.

But why would someone charge your cards whenever they like exactly? They've probably raised millions from investors to even run this platform, and you think they're going to rob their own customers

You don't.

Add a card/multiple cards.

Select which card you want to be active.

Spend on the Curve card like a normal debit/credit card online or in store and the money will be deducted from the active card.
