Careless driving: avoid penalties with Drive Motorway

Got it and the lesson

Been driving for 40 years so would be fun to take an AA instructor for a spin!

Will they be able to teach me how to drive only in the middle lane?
I'd love the learn that skill, which seems popular with my fellow motorists.

Mid lane driving while playing on the mobile phone is the new must have skill

I'd like to go in that 3rd lane, but that seems to be only for Audi and BMW drivers, do they pay extra to use it?!

Sorted for my son, thanks a lot. (_;)

Is it just 1 lesson.. Is it like a trial offer for 1 day or something

I don't need a free motorway lesson. I know what to do.

How should you know? Motorway driving is not part of the driving test in any way.
What a stupid comment.

I know it's not part of the driving test, but if you can drive to a good enough standard to satisfy the driving examiner and can have passed the theory then you should be able to drive on the motorway. If you are not capable of driving alone then you would not have earned a full license in the first place. You may disagree with me but that does not necessarily make people with different views stupid

Everyone is entitled to an opinion....sadly in this case you have the wrong one......

A bit of instructed motorway driving for someone who has just passed there test is a great idea.
Next thing I'd like to see is some instruction on how to change a wheel...yes I know not all cars come with a spare now (that is another thing I dislike) but If your car has a spare you should know how to change it...sadly many don't

some may consider that my opinion is wrong but, that does not mean that it is ok to say the opinion is stupid because others disagree. All I am saying is have confidence if you have passed the test then you know how to drive correctly all you need is experience and that will come with time. There is nothing wrong at all with taking these lessons if people want them. I am just saying that I don't consider them a necessity

I saw about 250 perfect candidates for this on the journey into work, maybe AA could teach them to slow down by letting off the accelerator and anticipating a slow down ahead instead of speeding towards it then braking!

or stop the C**** who see a nice gap in front of me which I have left to save unnecessary braking and think its a good time for them to nip in front and then brake.

I think it because Audi & BMW indicators don't work, so it probably isn't safe to re-join the normal traffic. I've seen them try a few times and it's been very close to collisions each time.

This is outrageous, I don't think alcoholics should be allowed to drive, even with the instructor.

Ok. So I passed my test 4 years ago. I couldn't afford insurance until last year. I moved out of Birmingham to Wales and now drive 60 miles a day to work and back along the A55, at 70mph but have still never been on a motorway!
Am I a bad driver for never having been on a motorway?
I think this is great for people like me. Maybe I may be able to drive down to see my parents!

What is it ??

If you can't drive on the motorway you won't know how to drive on it if you are lucky you might live somewhere with a major A road that has sections that are three lanes the closest you'll get to motorway driving as a learner. I think a free motorway lesson is a great idea I found my first few times on the M25 as a new driver daunting but I got off it in one piece, haven't been on a motorway since because I've found better ways to get where I want

Audi's do have Indicators...operated by a "knob" in the car

How do you find out if you've got the lesson? Do they email you or call you up?

Does this class has a pass + for insurance

if someone is in the middle lane is it really too much hassle for you just to overtake them in the third lane and by the way if someone is in the middle lane doing 70 then whats your problem, and yes i know the middle and outside lane is supposed to be just for overtaking

I have just passed my test and think this is a GREAT idea, i haven't been on a motorway yet I'm confident to do it but if its free thats a fantastic way to learn some more and be a better safer driver on the road!

During my lessons and 1 month on the road from passing its clear there are some complete Burks behind the wheel i don't want to become one of them!

This is either a joke or you're a troll trying to wind people up.

could this lower your insurance premium a bit? just like the pass plus thing.

Nope, I haven't. Has anyone else?

Makes me wonder whether it's a ploy to get people's details.
