Ok here goes,

i heard about a service called Zinio today, which some Boroughs sign up to, which allows members of the library to read loads of magazine titles. Being a lady I looked up women titles, but there are absolutely loads. not the easiest to navigate around and not in every area but better then a kick in the teeth!
Hope someone finds this useful.

Thank you hansonholly. The Which book is listed as being free to read through that App.
Falkirk Library also has this service.
Used this before but some idiot keeps filling in the crosswords
Magzter is another one for magazines through your local Council library.
London Libraries can be found here, you need a library card to sign up though.
can you use your Library card in other Libraries with this APP ?

I've a LibrariesNI but not sure if I'm using it properly ?
Libraries NI offer this online service for both books an digital magazines. For the cyclists out there note that you can download and read Cycling Weekly each week using the Zinio for Libraries app.
Broxtowe libraries in Nottingham do this as well.
Amazing information thank you so much!
Cheers
I use this all the time and it is great. It is annoying to see that there are lots and lots of magazines until you log and you get a quarter of them available to you but this might be related to specific councils.
I can only get about 20 in my area. :-(

I pay £8 a month to read as many as I like on Readly. :-)
My local library used to have such a great ebook service, but they've cut back on it all due to budget costs and they don't offer any of the magazines.

I don't why the government don't role this out nationally instead of leaving it to local councils. Surely at the national level they would have more buying power to drive down costs from the providers?

Once again, it's another postcode lottery.
Thanks for posting! I'd not heard of this before but looks like there is one for Tameside so I will be checking it out - tameside.gov.uk/lib…nes
Thanks for posting this!!
Wow thanks it's brilliant
Do you know of any spiritual/mediumship freebies to read weekly ?
I have been using Zinio for a while to get a number of free magazines each month. There is 'Zinio for Libraries' (free mags) and 'Zinio' (you pay for mags). You can set up an email service to let you know when the latest mag is out so you can download it. I think the mags have more adverts in them but I might be wrong. That said I did subscribe to a couple of mags through the post which cost a bit each month and they were still filled up with adverts. I use the Android app to read them on my tablet and there is an app for IPads. Unfortunately Windows does not have an app but you can log onto your account online to read them but cannot download them.
This is brilliant,thanks handsonholly.

Hi there, which library has access to which. TIA
The selections vary however I've been using the Northampton Zinio site for a few years and they update and add more magazine titles regularly, always worth a look
I might be persuaded to have a peep if its very soft porn, nothing hard.

You can use the normal Zinio app to read the library books provided you have the same username/email address so it syncs the account together.
