Good if they aren't going to (many self bill through iOS or Google Pay), I was speaking more generally. I assumed this would too.

I have a strong dislike for the subscription model that so many software companies are moving to.

Anyone able to share thoughts on this over the use of endomondo or strava?

I only use the free versions, primarily endomondo and the data sync'd to strava, but have downloaded the Adidas app and may possibly use if its worth it.
Absolutely no reason for some of the ludicrous prices many exercise apps have, especially on iOS. They charge it as it seems that people into fitness are more willing to pay. It's good that this has a free period, but obviously relies on people remembering to cancel.

I use the Nike Run Club app. It's free and captures all the info I want and gives me updates whilst I am running.
Cheers OP

Can you cancel without being charged during the so called free period

Agreed. Does exactly what I need.
No card details needed, auto cancels in90 days
Many thanks
I've had this on premium for a couple of weeks now after getting an email from Adidas (wish I had thought to post it on here!).
I've been really enjoying it, in lieu of my normal gym sessions.
There are 2 apps; the running app (which I had already) and the training app.
The training app with the premium membership gives access to loads of workouts, which have instructional videos, a training tracker, voice coach and social integration (which I don't bother with).
I didn't have to input any payment details and it appears to just end after the free period is up - I'll attempt to attach a screenshot FYI.
Especially useful as we're all housebound, good on you Adidas making it free - heat.

Went to get the offer and the app wants to copy my contacts!

This app wants permission to:

See and make a copy of your Google Contacts
Your contacts may include the names, phone numbers, addresses and other info about the people that you know.

No option to deny, only to cancel. Thanks but no thanks

I believe this is for their social integration stuff - you can add friends, send friends workout updates, Facebook link, etc.

From what I've seen so far, I've not had to grant access to said info, as it asks you within the app to grant permission prior to any social posting or linking (I haven't used it so haven't granted it).

If you're not comfortable with these permissions though (in any app), it's better to be cautious and not bother. There have been a few cheap/free games posted on HUKD which have had mental permissions requests and I've not bothered, as it just seems over the top for what it is.

Once installed, via Android settings -> App you can block access to things like contacts, storage, camera etc...

Is there any way to syc the logs with fitbit?
This or Nike training?

This or Nike training?

ive got both going atm and been with the nike one abit longer but this one seems more comprehensive in terms of showing you what to do beforehand. e.g. the videos explaining to you how to do the workout and what you should be focussing on
anyway to get this on to a TV instead of a phone? I prefer it whilst working out at home...
I got the same error message, used my existing Adidas account instead of creating a new and it upgraded me to premium.
I have a code for a free 12 months, first to PM me can have it.

Thank you, I’ll try the Nike one x
Just remember if you go for a run that should be staying more than 2m away from other people. The 2m rule is a minimum for those doing normal activities not someone doing strenuous exercise heavily exhaling.

Getting fed up of cyclists and runners coming right by me as if their speed means they are immune, it doesn't work that way and irresponsible towards others.

Very good point, completely agree. On the flip side it does get annoying when a whole family walks 3 abreast completely taking up the path when I'm trying to run!

The sign up doesn’t work
Signed up, thanks! Took about 2 minutes and no payment info required at all.
Personally maymyrun is very good. I'm only on the free version and don't have any issues. Tracks my runs perfect. Also imports your workouts into myfitnesspal automatically, if your into calorie counting / watching what your eating. I understand it's all owned by UA but very helpful (and free).
Excellent! Thanks!
Nice one, saw I had a code for a free trial but great this is for everyone. Heat added.
Thanks for this!
