You need to earn £75k a year to buy that rammel ..
This hoary old myth crops up every time there's an offer like this. Many people are Premier Customers without earning anything like that. (Or having any savings with Barclays.)

Those limits, I assume, come into play if you decide you wish to apply to become a Premier Customer. Barclays award Premier status to many others also.

I have barely earned 75k in my life, (seriously!) and yet I'm a Premier customer.

It seems to me that this kind of post just generates hostility towards anybody that claims these offers. Some Thorntons and other staff can be snooty enough with Freebie collectors without them mistakenly thinking you're earning 75k as well.

It's not going to stop people repeating it. But it's wrong.
Yep all true.. But the eligibility criteria is as of today.. But there could be many who would have had an account for a while and dont meet the criteria anymore but still have it.. Its a freebie!! 🤙
I wish I was rich so I could get free chocolate

I bet it’s a 75p one from Heron Foods
All i want from Barclays is the £2500 from my old ING account they closed and has since disappeared and noon in Barclays knows where its gone or cares. They closed it on 4th Oct and I have had ZERO communication since.

Dreadful bank and disgraceful customer service.

Nope! Its actually worth £8.00
It’s£8, but it’s also only 100gram. Galaxy is 60p/100g. Even Lindt is £1.99/100g. But hey it’s free (but really miss my patisserie Valerie coffee)
Premier used to be such a good adition with accounts, used to get great home tech and travel insurance, lounge passes, breakdown cover as well an an awesome concierge service that got me front seat / box tickets to gigs. Over time they started chipping away at the benefits and increasing the price before inplementing a £75k earning cap.

Was great to have it whilst it lasted, shame the restrictions ruined it and shut me out for not earning enough.
Got mine, ta.
this reminds me of that tv documentary about the kids at a £1000 a term posh boarding school, and the hilarious of the staff making a point that thy put "a FREE chocolate under the pillow" for every kid to treat them when they arrive first time.
